Capitol Cafe - San Jacinto Blvd — Restaurant in Austin

I took my kid to UT on Sunday morning, placed online order at Capitol Coffee, order was accepted and confirmed. I walked to Capitol Coffee, nobody in there. Its dark behind the counter. Sign “Sorry, We’re closed” was displayed. Tried to open the door facing San Jacinto and it was locked. I called the number for San Jacinto location, pressed option 1, and nobody available to answer. Went back to UT with no coffee. I called South Conggress location, pressed option 1, someone answered and she didnt know if the other location closed. I just simply asked for refund. Monday, the manager called and told me they were open from 10am. I said but nobody in there. She could have simply check if they had any in strore transactions that morning, but she made it sounds like I was placing online order but did not pick it up. I ended up with my refund, but would have been great if my order was not accepted so I didnt have to walk there and...

Staff is friendly but the food is overpriced for a basic turkey and cheese sandwich. No lettuce, tomato came with it just basic meat and cheese on bread. Save your money and bring a sandwich from home.

The music is noticeable but other tables were having conversation. If you’re going to Blanton’s museum, maybe check out a different restaurant. This one is more tailored to the office...
