My kids like Dominos so we order from this location as it's close and over the last five years it has blown me away how poorly run this place is that I now feel compelled to take time to actually review it. Places are understaffed. There are rushes of orders. As someone who grew up working in restaurants and with generations of people in service industry, I get it- better than most. What I can't understand is how poorly trained the people who work at these locations are from a corporate mega giant like this. I order food on their app and it gives timelines. I call to check in on the order and I am told, " We are really busy and there were four orders in front of you so I will start it now" some forty minutes AFTER placing the order. I ask if I can just come and pick it up and I am told, "well there are four orders in front of you so it will probably take 30 or so minutes" right after being "next in line." The only reason to order from these chains is because its cheap and its fast (and in my case my kids like the food) but when you are waiting near an hour to get food and nobody bothers to even let a customer know via the app or a phone call that there is a delay, that isn't cool. I am not even mad at the poor girl who said she was alone at the location but rather shocked at the franchisee owner and store manager who isn't teaching people how to actually navigate through any problems that arise and how to communicate. I don't really expect the young girl being paid $15 an hour to feel personal responsibility for every order that comes in but it is increasingly concerning how people just shrug and act like "it is what it is." Pick up a phone and let people know what's going on and they can order from you the next time if it's going to take three times as long to get your food as usual. This isn't that complicated and it just a matter of caring a smidge to get the job done.
FWIW I called the Airport location and they had my pizza ready in 10 minutes and I went to go pick it up so use them and avoid this store at all costs. They have no idea what they're doing.
Also look at these generic copy and paste responses from the "owner" on here. Dominos should consider revoking this person's franchise cause my goodness the staff is taking their cues from an owner who could care less about customer service with these hilarious excuses and feigning concern....
Read moreI placed in an order online for two pizza's to pickup. Just under an hour later, I get there and go inside to see that my order is still not ready (says so on the app as well). After going in and checking on it, they tell me it will no longer than 10 minutes, that it just got placed in the oven. I leave the store and go walk the block of the 37th street lights to kill some time, and I get back 5 minutes later with a boot on my car.
The guy booting is in his car next to me, gets out and says I got booted as the parking lot is for customers only. I pull out my phone and show him that my order is being prepared and wanted to kill the time, but he said leaving the property is grounds for booting, and that its $100 to get it removed or be towed. I am appalled. I tell him to wait one minute, I go in AND GET MY PIZZAS, and upon coming out he still refuses to remove the boot without paying him despite showing him the proof that I was a customer.
I go back inside and ask the staff about the towing services out there, and how to get it removed as I was a customer, who was just in there. They said they aren't responsible themselves for the enforcement, and if they booted me that they had cause.
Terribly scummy way to treat people, let alone customers. Also, to add insult to injury, my...
Read moreI ordered a pizza from this location before and it was two hours late but they at least refunded my money. I ordered again last night, and two hours after I ordered I called the store to check on my order or cancel it. After a 15 minute wait on the phone, a curt woman answered the phone and let me know they were extremely busy and only had one driver but that my order was on its way and would be at my place in 15 minutes or they would refund my money. I realize that staffing is a challenge now so I was willing to wait. Another hour passed and I tried calling multiple times with no one answering. The tracker suddenly changed to say my order was complete, however I didn't receive my pizza. I called several more times and only once did someone answer to then immediately hang up on me. I haven't received a pizza and my card has been charged for the order. I've tried calling the branch multiple times today and have currently been listening to the domino's recording for 15 minutes. Someone answered "dominos please hold" and I am still waiting. Understanding that businesses are struggling under Covid but this is beyond unacceptable...
