Here is what you need to know about this location before:
This is a rather new location that has only recently opened a few months and is originally based on the East 7th Street location and South Lamar locations.
They are known more so for their breakfast coffee and bakery items made from wheat that they try to make and bake themselves which means no gluten free.
That being said I was greeted upon arrival and was welcomed.
They have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating and you could pretty much at that time grab a seat anywhere.
I came here to meet a client and help him with this computer upon trying to get on their Wi-Fi was when we encounter issues.
Much like Starbucks they do their best to keep all the tables clean and the environment professional with public Wi-Fi that opens a web page in the browser that you have to either opt into with your Facebook account or email and then sign up for their newsletter.
This is where we encountered an issue because when we tried to get on the Wi-Fi we were unable to get either Facebook or email option to click to be able to opt onto their Wi-Fi which their customer service tried their best to help us figure out.
In addition to my dismay I had no signal and yet they wanted me to scan a barcode to get the menu to order through to menuthat would not work because I could not get on your Wi-Fi and I had a poor signal so no data so therefore I could not order food
Neither could my client.
I said look I have cash can I just go ahead and buy something and which I was told now go ahead and order through it on my menu screen the barcode.
Eventually I gave up and left.
Again I am sure I am at fault here and the restroom is clean their environment was professional plenty of seating and even an upstairs seating I was thoroughly impressed or what they did with this location that used to be something else entirely and they even have in the morning at 2 go drive-thru but that drive-thru is already closed and indoors they don't really have the ability to do cash transactions which makes us extremely difficult based on the system that they have chosen to do especially when the Wi-Fi does not work and I can't get mobile data to work.
Again I don't hold this against the customer service and people working there as they were phenomenal.
Just be aware when you come here that you are going to have to go through a couple more hoops of fire depending on whether or not technology is working. :(
also parking can be a challenge is it shared parking on the corner of I-35 which makes it even more difficult to get to depending on if you coming from airport boulevard or I 35 south or north because of the limitations of entrances to get in and out...
Read moreThis was our first time dining at Easy Tiger and unfortunately, it will be our last. When we arrived, we were handed menus and told to choose a table for service. We waited for about 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. There were very few other customers there at the time, but there were 4-6 employees standing together in the corner of the bar. We finally got up to ask one of them to take our order. We received our food and drinks quickly after doing so, but then our waitress literally never returned to our table to check on us, offer another round of drinks, or close out the check, despite having empty glasses and even attempting to wave down our waitress when we were ready to leave. After waiting another 20-25 minutes for someone’s attention, my husband again left the table to ask an employee to come check us out. When he did so, there was not a single employee visible on the floor of the restaurant.
A different waitress finally passed our table and we were able to ask her for our bill. She gave us the total, which was not adjusted for Happy Hour prices. She asked the manager to come fix it, at which point we shared with him how long we’d been waiting for service. I wish I had seen the reviews before dining, as it appears this establishment believes they have an issue with dining and dashing, when in fact, they simply aren’t paying any kind of attention to their customers. I’m disheartened to read reviews from several customers of color stating that they were asked to provide a credit card before being served. My husband and I were not asked to do so, and practically had to beg for someone to come close out our check for us. There are too many great options in ATX to waste your time...
Read moreToday is THE LAST TIME I’m was here. I used to come here every week while my daughter is in her art class, but not setting my foot in here ever again.
First of all, they closed off upstairs and use it as office space for themselves. It used to be a great place to work/ study, but now I can’t do any of that in here because it’s too loud downstairs and too hot outside.
Second of all, they got rid of all couches, so now they don’t have ANY COMFORTABLE SEATING. All they have is hard benches with no backs, plastic chairs, and 90-degree slightly padded benches by the wall.
And finally, when I came in today (Friday 3:45pm) I was exhausted from the work week. I walked around and looked everywhere for a somewhat comfortable and quiet place to sit, but didn’t find anything but the aforementioned padded benches by the wall. While I was waiting for my order, I laid down (under the table, with my feet in the corner, as to not cause any discomfort to other customers and staff) and I was INSISTENTLY ASKED to “SEAT UP” in a manner that made me feel like a child that is being scolded. When I asked why I was being told to do something I didn’t want to (mind you, I wasn’t sleeping or anything, I was peacefully scrolling social media in my AirPods) the waitress said “because this is a RESTAURANT and I can’t have you LAYING AROUND in here”. First of all, it is not a RESTAURANT, it’s a glorified bakery/ coffee shop. If they still had the couches I would’ve just sat back on one of those, ideally upstairs. But they got rid of those.
I am a single mother and I work hard for my money. Suffice to say I AM NOT SPENDING...
