Feng Cha Tech Ridge — Restaurant in Austin

Feng Cha Tech Ridge, located at 500 W Canyon Ridge Dr L150, Austin, TX 78753, has been my go-to spot for milk tea. I appreciate the convenience of ordering through the mobile app and picking up in-store.

However, my recent visit on October 19, 2025, was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my usual milk tea order, I noticed two teenage employees engaged in a lengthy conversation in the kitchen. Despite my presence which they noticed me, they seemed indifferent and continued chatting. If they were really busy all they had to say is, "Give us a minute, we'll be right with you" instead of being a mute and irked. I had to wave to get their attention, and only then did one of them approach the counter to hand me my drink.

To the business owner: I shouldn't have to flag down an employee to collect my mobile order. I suggest considering some self-service technology to improve customer interaction—similar to Amazon pickup lockers. While I understand this could be an additional cost, many visits find this location not overly busy, and better service could enhance the overall experience. Sometimes customers will outright stop visiting a business due to employee rudeness, and you, as the owner, may never find out the reason.

i dont normally leave reviews, but i felt like i had to leave one for this matter (to hopefully improve the quality of their drinks).

i am a regular customer at this feng cha location, however the drink i ordered today had some sort of plastic bits mixed in it. when i first felt the plastic bit, i thought nothing of it and just proceeded to drink. however i kept feeling more plastic bits (i initially did not know it was plastic), so i inspected what it might be. again, i am not sure what is in the drink, but my best guess would be remnants of plastic cutlery as it was completely solid and definitely something that shouldnt be ingested.

this has never happened to me before, and i hope this will be the last. i hope that the owners will see this review and use it to ensure proper quality of the drinks in the future as i am sure no customer would like to find plastic bits in their drink. like i said, their drinks are always delicious, but i was definitely disappointed to find something like this...

This is my go to place since i was in College in the Philippines. And when i saw this here in Austin i gotta go back.

It’s a Saturday Night, so i ordered it for take out. I was in the car with my husband when i decided to try it. I’m shoooook! It was soooo good that my husband got thrilled with my reaction so he also tasted it and he almost didn’t give it back. Sooo we gotta go back and order 2 more luckily there still open.
