just had the craziest experience- firstly, i'd like to say that the restaurant staff is lovely (bartenders and service.) although it's upsetting that the ownership appears to treat them so poorly. there was a middle aged couple sitting at the bar (whom we much later found out were the owners, at least the gentleman was.) with a golden retriever.

my two friends and i were playing ping pong on the opposite side of the dining area, when the dog ran over to us. i was petting it briefly before it urinated all over the floor. i went over to let the bartender (marianne i think?) know, as she was the only staff member on the floor at the moment. she kindly cleaned it up.

i believe she had informed the dog's owners that the incident occurred, and they denied that it was their dog who did it (the only dog in the restaurant.) the bartender wanted to clarify what had happened while cleaning it up, but agreed you could literally see the paw prints leading back to the bar seat where it's owners were. one customer even almost picked up a ping pong ball that was unfortunately covered with the urine, unaware, until i abruptly stopped him.

however accidents happen and we were extremely cordial & fully intended to carry on once it was mopped up. i really appreciated marianne. however, the issue occurred when she returned to working behind the bar & the owners of the dog started aggressively shouting at us from across the restaurant! they were appalled that we would accuse their dog of such a thing- claiming it was "tied up to the table the whole time." we disregarded them and carried on.

when my friend approached the bar to close his tab, the clearly intoxicated couple, once again, began shouting and cursing at him, demanding that we be escorted out. my friend said to check the cameras if they didn't believe us, and the male dog owner (harlan scott, according to the website,) began to shove him. after many verbal and physical altercations (all initiated by them,) we were informed that they were the owners of the establishment. only then did i understand why them, themselves were not already escorted out of the establishment. we then left.

i have never personally experienced such disrespect for guests when dining. i don't recommend gracing these people with your business. as a fellow industry worker, i feel really sorry for the staff. it's ironic how a restaurant oriented towards service industry workers can treat their staff so horrifically.

i would like to note that any all altercations (verbal and physical) were initiated by the owners. we had no intention of bringing any attention to the issue, until they began shouting/ slurring at us from across the dining area in defense of the dog, since they were claiming we lied to the bartender about the urination.

it was a good dog & not its fault. i'm sure they had him stuck inside there for too long. it saddens me to see both employees and guests being treated with such disrespect. in all my time in the restaurant industry, i've never experienced such absurd behavior...

Ambience was cool. Food was good. Servers are over worked and understaffed. Giving one star for service.

It was our first time visiting industry. On the website, they pride themselves in providing a different experience for people in the service industry. Because of this you do get charged 20% for gratuity when visiting and you do not have a set server. Unfortunately, when it comes to service, the service sucks here and it is not the server's fault it is actually the owner and or management fault. I believe all servers should get 20% gratuity for the service they provide when we sit down to eat. I used to be a server and really feel there are a lot of opportunities for industry. They do not have enough people to serve the amount of people coming into this establishment, especially for a Sunday brunch day that offers bottomless mimosas. Do not come here if you are expecting to be served or have great service. This establishment is unorganized and I feel bad for the servers here because it is not their fault. If you purchase bottomless mimosas, be prepared to wait at the bar to get your refill. Do not expect the servers to refill your mimosas or even your sodas. Be prepared for your food and drinks to never come to your table. Be prepared for the chaos if you visit here do not come hungry because you will be waiting. If you want to speak to a manager, don't expect to speak to 1 he does not want to speak to you no matter how friendly you are. No matter how respectful you are.

Opportunities for owners and or managers :

When ordering with the cashier, have the cashier provide the drinks prior to having people leave to their table.

Have more SERVERS working on Sunday.

Have more than one bartenders scheduled for Sunday. The 1 1/2 they had did not work for Sunday.

people who order bottomless mimosas maybe set an expectation that they can refill their mimosas at the bar instead of having them wait at their table for two hours wondering when someone is gonna come fill it up. Or constantly remind any server they can stop when passing by that they need a refill.

Have 1-2 dedicated food runners.

Industry's management and or owners could take a lesson or two from food chains like Texas road house when it comes to service or running an efficient...

I was very excited when I found out Industry will be opening a location in Austin, and only a couple minutes away from me! I used to live in San Marcos and Industry was one of the few places I was missing. I had a bit of ups and downs on my recent visit.

The cashier that took our order was a bit dismissive of me because she was looking at my boyfriend a little too much. Not to mentioned that she remember what he ordered in his previous visit. He had gone for lunch a couple days before. To say the least she was being overly friendly to my boyfriend. This interaction isn't by any means important to the quality of the restaurant and the food, but definitely had an impact on my mood.

When it come down to food, I order the cauliflower tacos because they have always been one of my favorites. Unfortunately they weren't the same this time around. I understand different cooks make things differently, so this doesn't discourage me to give a try to something else next time around. When our food was originally dropped off my boyfriend tried to get the attention of the person that dropped it off, but they ran off without looking back before he finished his sentence. My boyfriend decided to drop it and just eat his food. The only other person that pretended to be interested in our table was again that same cashier. But as previously stated, I was already wary of her and her reasoning for coming up to us. We were done with our food at that point, and did not need help.

Despite the not so great cashier and food, I am rating this place a 5 because our bartender, Jack, was truly someone I would love to go back to order a drink from and just interact with. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us some really good recommendations. He killed it with his secret drink recipe! I also really appreciated his honestly when I was going to tip and he pointed out that it there was already gratuity included. I don't remember this being a thing in San Marcos, but I didn't mind it at all.

My recent visit has not by any means discouraged me from going again and trying something else. The San Marcos location never disappointed me, and I know they offer good quality food. I also really loved the atmosphere. Very different from being in a...

This is a review based on a take-out order. I got the Smoked Brisket Pastrami sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten! I skipped using the brisket au jus cause it was delicious already (and to be honest i forgot it was in there till the end - so i tried it and it didn't add anything to the flavor. The texas bread is so soft and the 10 day brined brisket was so tender and flavorful with the Dijon and bacon jam. The price is steep at $18, but I had a gift card and am so glad I picked this! It came with potato chips which seemed very fresh and possibly made in house. I also took advantage of Mescal Monday she got a margarita to go!! In regards to service. When I walked up to the counter a nice young lady rushed over to help. She said "you must be Kevin" cause it was 4:30p and I had the only pickup order. My food was ready before the expected ready time too!! I wish they had a customer service 15 minute parking spot in front, for pickup orders, but that's nothing against the restaurant. There was plenty of parking on the street and you just have to be quick. On another day i ordered the blueberry habanero wings! First of all, i feel they are definitely worth the $12 (for 6). The wings are moist and the flavor is very unique and delicious. I also got the sweet potato fries which come with a yummy spicy sauce. I wish the fries were a like crisper but they still were tastey!

Rating: 4.1/5 [dine in] The space is huge and great for large gatherings. Service was minimal though, and they also automatically add 20% tip to all checks which we weren't fans of. Mezcal Margarita ($7 on Mondays): We were worried it might be watered down, but it was actually really good - strong and didn't taste like bottom shelf at all. Texas Fish Fry ($18): Cornmeal-fried Texas catfish, fries, house tartar sauce, and chimichurri. The piece of fish was huge and delicious, though the crust was pretty salty--definitely something to wash down with your drink. We swapped the regular fries for sweet potato fries, which were solid. Brisket Tacos ($15 for 3): House salsa, avocado crema, cilantro, fried onion, flour tortillas. The tacos were just okay. The brisket came cubed, which probably wasn't the best choice for tacos. Each component tasted good on its own, but they didn't come together as a cohesive bite. The chips and salsa were good. Pork Belly Bites ($11.50): House black BBQ sauce, sesame seeds, fried kale, and green onion. A little dry and slightly overcooked, but still tasty. Loved the fried kale. Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($9): Dijon bourbon glaze, green onion, and candied pecans. Not crispy, but they were well-seasoned. 4 Grilled Shrimps ($5): Basic but juicy. Not something I'd order again, though.
