Great stay! Upon arrival and check-in, we had a slight issue with our reservation that was seamlessly handled by Manager Larissa. She even found us in the restaurant before her shift ended to let us know how it was resolved. We loved the restaurant/bar on the top floor (Eighteenth Over Austin). A busier-than-expected evening kept server Megan hopping the first night we were there but her demeanor was friendly and fun. The next night I had the privilege of meeting server Jeremy while ordering a meal to go at the restaurant and I found him to be incredibly genuine, connected and authentic. Breakfast at the restaurant both mornings of my stay brought the joy of meeting the lovely Evelyn, hostess and server at the restaurant. While it was a buffet style meal, she was very attentive to the needs of her guests and brought/offered refills on beverages; took an interest in her guests; kept up on table clearing, etc. Her engaging and kind personality was such a delight. All of my interaction with hotel support staff was great. I look forward to staying here again if I return to Austin. One last note— it was such a treat to get light room service after only one night’s stay even though we were only staying a couple of days. Trashes were emptied, the bed was remade and towels refreshed. Thank you!!!

TL;DR: My room had over a dozen crickets. UPDATE: In response to the owner's comment. Yes, 2,000 Hilton Points, or approximately $12, were offered when I notified the hotel that my room had "many" crickets (it is inaccurate that I said there were only two crickets). I have yet to see confirmation of that in my account, but, regardless, I do not feel $12 rectified the situation. I’m not one to mind a few bugs- I prefer that to tons of pesticides in the room. But this was bad. I attempted to change rooms, but they were sold out (they offered to come spray the room, but I didn’t think that would help much in the moment). I couldn’t ever get comfortable because I could either see them or hear them scratching on the walls. I’m a Hilton Honors member and usually feel great- but was a really negative experience. I’m avoiding posting some of the more… vivid photos in case some readers are squeamish. The front desk staff were very kind and the location is good.

First things first the staff was the best part about this place. Now as for everything else the room had several things broken. The toilet handle was loose and had to be pushed down several times to get anything to flush. The door in the bathroom kept sticking because the actual handle was broken or loose. Then the nice pool is not that nice this picture actually shows full size. To top it all off it’s $55 a night for parking which is mandatory valet and it’s so annoying. I will not be booking this hotel again ever it’s in the no go list. Update: to add to this lack luster experience you will be charged twice for the Valet service. Your first night with be 59 after taxes and fees then depending on when you check out you will be charged again for all nights plus the first night. I can’t even repeat never and I mean never stay here they won’t even fix this issue.

This Hotel is in the Perfect location for the Convention center. We booked a non smoking Pure welness suite for a 5 night stay. We arrived to our surprise there was a $55.00 PER NIGHT parking fee which was absurd!! They have no fee free parking available for guest. They do not have Handicap Parking for guest either!! The front desk staff were very rude and uncaring!! The hotel restaurant is located on the 18th floor and they offer a standard (nothing special) serve yourself, buffet style breakfast for $30 a person. They also add a required automatic 18% gratuity! Then also add a tip line to your bill!! But again you serve yourself!! We reserved and paid extra for a non-smoking suite. But was assigned a standard room that upon entry, had an extremely foul odor resembling a strong dog and urine odor. The counter above the refrigerator was damaged and falling apart. We immediately questioned, if this room was the suite we had reserved and were paying extra for? As well, as placed a complaint about the pet and urine odor. At first we were told yes, and that, that was the only room available, the guy even went as far as to say "we can cancel your reservation and you can find another hotel if you like" I explained to him that we booked this hotel over 8 months ago and we were there for the Convention. The likelyhood of finding another hotel room at this time was not an option. All we are asking for is the room that we reserved and paid for. After sometime passed. I contacted Hilton customer service. Well, I have to say the customer service apologized and contacted the hotel and after about 2 hours we were contacted by the hotel and asked to return to the desk, they were going to place us in the correct reserved room. However, we were not provided a suite, but we were assigned a new room and this one did not smell of dog or urine. Unfortunately, for us the AC was not working properly and it was very hot in this room. We contacted the front desk and a service person came up and checked the AC.he adjusted some things and told us it should get cooler. We waited and the room did not cool. So the next morning at about 0530am called down to the desk and informed that the AC was still not working. We went to the Hotel restaurant and had Breakfast. My husband went to the Convention and I remained in the hotel to wait for the AC service person. After about 3 1/2 hours, the AC service person arrived. He worked on the AC for some time. I explained how hot it was and how when we returned from breakfast, we opened the door and walked in, it felt as if we had the heater on. He responded, that's how it felt when I walked in as well. He continued working and eventually told me, it should cool off within a couple hours. We'll it never cooled off!! So when my husband called about having lunch. I told him what was happening. We'll, needless to say, I packed up our belongings and we ended up spending the next 3 nights comfortably in another Hotel. Upon check out the young lady was much nicer than at check in, but she told us we would still be charged for another night because we were checking out at 12:08pm 8 minutes passed the regular check out time. No concern for the issues just for the money. I asked "so, I am just curious, if some one wants a room tonight will you still rent the room we are being forced to pay for even tho we are not staying" and she said "yes". I asked "So then you will get paid twice for one room?" She did not respond. We left and will never stay at this Hotel again!!! So happy the Convention will be held in a different city next year, due to ours and so many other complaints from Convention attndees.hope this review helps someone from a bad experience. We stay at a lot of hotels across the united states as well as other countries and this made the top 10 do not return list for us. Good Luck on your travels and...

The 18th floor is the most lively spot and just amazing. The food is superb and the staff is so culturally diverse with the meals they provide and the staff!! You find culture here from all around the world! I enjoyed speaking spanish with the staff and meeting individuals from the Austin Hilton convention members:) ||Serigo Sanchez is the bartender upstairs. He really knows how to make any drink and also he is open to new drink suggestions. I was able to tell him some Chicago drinks and boy did he adapt and overcame! He was so fast with making drinks and handling such a large crowd on his own. I met him two weeks ago last time I stayed here and he was the highlight of my stay. He took me around Austin with a college professor and made sure we were safe!! It was amazing someone my age was able to just hear what I wanted to do and boom it happened. Sucha friendly and kind individual. He made the stay remarkable.||I returned from Chicago driving down 11 1/2 hours and made sure my father met my new friends. Jake Spiller and Sergio Sanchez took care of me as a friend by now giving my father the Austin experience for his 61st birthday.|We had steak and the best cheesecake. I never even fancied cheesecake!!! But it was so delicious. I just listened to Sergios suggestions then boom! Delightful experience. I left Jake to talk adult talk with my dad on one side of the bar and I went to the other side. I met a famous singer too at the hotel!!!!!!!!|Matthew Grant was here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That man made the area so lively by singing and the views of Austin are so profound on the 18th floor. Sergio took care of Matthew and myself and our group of friends grew!!||Jake and Sergio along with Matthew, my father and I. Jake and Sergio listened to the things my father and I like along with Matthew. It felt like we had a tour guide! Both Serigo and Jake took us around Austin and made sure my father had the best experience in Austin at the garden inn !!!||I recently myself just purchased a stay at the Garden Inn because I know my father is so happy and tired from his Austin tour šŸ’›||THE VIEWS AT THE AUSTIN GARDEN IN ARE AMAZINGGGG. I was met by Carmen and she was so pleasant and generous. She made sure I got the best room possible in this beautiful hotel! There is amazing views even inside where you feel so at home and staff. I really like this hotel to get a more laid back and diverse feel. The Austin Garden Inn prepares you to relax, feel safe, in sucha clean environment. Walking distance is downtown Austin!!!!||I would ask Sergio for any recommendations at the Austin Garden Inn. He knows so much since he has lived in Austin for so long. I really enjoy bouncing between both Hotels. I would also ask Jake Spiller for any recommendations at the Austin Hilton around Austin and even outside of the city!!!!|I love it here at the Austin Garden Inn. Thank you for this constant immersion...

A total nightmare of a experience. I would NEVER go back to this location and have a ongoing report case going on. I am a veteran and now hazmat driver. Myself and my friend got reservation for jun 20-22. We checked in to the hotel around 750 ish pm and immediately reported that the iron was broken around 830 pm ish (jun 20) when we was getting changed for the night. We left around 130 pm to get food, explore austin, shop and got back around 650 ish pm (jun 21) we was changing to go out for the night. One of my guest wanted to see if the game was on and we tried Turing the tv on and noticed that the tv wouldn't turn on. We called and notified them. While waiting I took a shower and proceeded to get dressed and unplugged my phone charger from the bathroom and thought what if its the outlet which we found the tv not plugged in. My guest saw the tv not plugged in and though that was the issue and prematurely called and notified them never mind we think the issue was the tv just wasn't plugged in. We then noticed the tv remote had no battery and when we turned the tv on using the buttons found the tv screen cracked and notified them after discovery. 2 out if the 4 elevators was working at the time so it took some time to get down stairs to clear up the confusion. The technician they sent up Mike was very rude and raised his voice at me and said I could explain myself to him and that they check the rooms everyday. I then asked him how could they check the tv if it wasnt plugged in, the remote batteries was taken out and what about the iron? Then he got frustrated and raised his voice at me.The manger Brenda doesn't respond took about a week before I finally gotnin contact and didnt respond to my email.i had to called corporate and they could see i didn't break the tv and recommended to the property not to charge but the property is trying to charge anyways. They tried to charge me 800 and then said 400. I told my bank to denied the charges. I make about 150000 with airforce retirement/ hazmat driver .i normally stay at the other hilton about a 3 min walk from this location. It was a last min trip and i thought its hilton and i still get point as a hilton honor member. I have too much to lose and wouldnt put myself in a predicamentIf like that. if broke the tv i would've paid it but im not paying for something I didnt do. Its a scary thought that the tv been like that for however long and us doing the right thing by reporting it just like the iron we're getting accused. They have employees not actually checking the rooms, mangers not responding/ thorough investigation and technicians/maintenance personnel disrespecting guest. Its unfortunate I jave to get a lawyer and possibly letting the news know about this incident. This is ridiculous that corporate can see that i didnt break the tv and said if it was up to them they would drop the fees/...
