This restaurant was very unprofessional. I ordered on GrubHub, and I noticed there was a typo in my address, so I immediately called the restaurant to notify them about the typo, and they told me I would have to change my address through GrubHub. When I spoke to a representative from GrubHub, he stated that the best way to correct this was to cancel the order completely and place an entirely new order, so I proceeded with his advice. When I placed the new order, I realized I needed to change one of the items because my mother-in-law is diabetic and couldn't eat what I had initially ordered. The restaurant contacted me about that as there was a bit of confusion about whether the first order or the second, corrected one, was to be fulfilled. The lady I spoke with from the restaurant, Carolina Fernandez (I think), was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her voice was sharp and argumentative right off the bat which I believe was because she thought that I had changed the entire order when really I had only changed one item. One of her first statements to me was "I can't throw 10 Burgers away!" This immediately sent a message to me that she cared more about other things than me as the customer. She set a horrible tone for the conversation right from the get-go. I explained to her that the second order was the correct one and that I had added a cobb salad in place one of the burgers. I read my entire order to her to confirm she had it correct. She confirmed that they would add the cobb salad to the order. When my food got here, the cobb salad was missing. I believe she did this on purpose because she has a bad attitude and is a truly hateful person. This basically ruined my dining experience, and I was left without a meal for my mother-in-law. The food tasted alright, although nothing special. However, their customer service absolutely ruined it for me. I most likely will not be ordering from this...
Read moreSmall, basic burger for way too much money.
A tremendously disappointing burger, especially considering the price. As a vegan travelling to Austin, I was excited that there was a vegan burger place close to my airBnB, and the photos online made the food look good. I also assumed that, if they’re charging as much as they are per burger (any fries are extra), that the burgers would be both really big and really good. But the burgers we ordered (crispy chikn and cheez) were significantly smaller than what you would get at an A&W, and just tremendously basic. As an example, the chikn patty on mine was just a chikn fillet you can get at the grocery store. There was nothing special about it, and certainly nothing to justify a $15 price tag.
Add to that the fact that their large fries are the size of a regular order from most places, and overall I was just left feeling ripped off.
I thought I was getting something special, and instead I got something I could have thrown together myself without much effort. For what you get, their prices should be on par with In & Out. The fact that our pitiful meal cost over $40 (two burgers and fries) was absolutely ridiculous.
Don’t bother...
Read moreUpdate Changed to 1 star and lowered service stars. They asked me to email them in response below, so I did. I asked why the $4 raise in price for fries and had receipts from 3 months ago proving the increase. They never responded. Won’t update again, just not a place I’ll eat anymore. They’re too new to make these types of changes in this economy so soon. It is the same we’re seeing with corporate greed higher pricing/lower volume & sizes.
I strongly recommend Mission Burger in ATX. vs this place any day. Consistent prices, portions are better than expected, and you actually get what you pay for. MB even offers long time customers sincere outreach and incentives, for positive feedback (not negative) on experience. Good luck & farewell NLB/NLC.
Original Review: $10 for a “large” order of sweet potato fries… and they barely fill the bag. The $10 shakes taste like air/whip cream if that makes sense. I feel like something changed here and not sure if it’s when they opened another location and started saving on costs? Lowering volume? A normal meal (burger, fries, shake) ends up being like $40-50. Hope they’re at least paying their employees decent for...
