I was very disappointed by my experience at this PTerrys. I frequent regularly but recently during a visit to pick up my online order during my lunch break there was a team member there who would not assist me when I arrived. She and another team member just continued to laugh and joke amongst themselves at the fact that I was visibly frustrated at the fact that she would not walk over to assist me. We just stared at eachother until another team member named Pam finally noticed me standing there waiting. It felt very discriminatory. There was no reason for her not to listen to the team member who told her to come assist me when she saw me. There was no line, I was dressed professionally and I was quiet and pleasant. While I complained to Pam, that team member who wouldn’t help me saw me complaining and walked over and rudely said it was because she had to wash her hands after leaving the bathroom. While I appreciate her washing her hands after she was already outside of the bathroom in the area surrounded by food, I asked why she wouldn’t tell me one moment or even tell another team member to assist me rather than laugh and stare at me and she could not answer. So my food was cold by the time I ate it and my experience was ruined. I work as a manager in retail and I deal with complaints daily so I am very careful about filing them which I haven’t had to do for the longest time but I felt it was necessary to have this matter...

During my recent visit to Austin, I decided to try out P. Terry's Burger Stand #11. As a burger enthusiast, I ordered the crispy chicken burger with high hopes. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The thin crispy chicken bun lacked the juiciness and flavor I was hoping for, leaving me slightly disappointed with my main course.
However, the experience wasn't entirely negative. One highlight of my meal was the delectable banana bread, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It provided a delightful contrast to my unsatisfying burger.
The restaurant's atmosphere pleasantly surprised me. The exterior exuded a charming vintage vibe, which invited me in with open arms. The ambiance was warm and friendly, making for a comfortable drive-through experience.
On the downside, the service was a bit of a mixed bag. While the staff was generally okay, there was some confusion about my order. I kept getting asked about additional items I hadn't ordered until I had to show them my receipt for clarification. This mix-up dampened the otherwise decent service.
Overall, my visit to P. Terry's Burger Stand #11 had its ups and downs. The delightful atmosphere and scrumptious banana bread balanced out the lackluster crispy chicken burger and the slight service hiccup. I might consider giving this place another chance in the future, hoping for a better experience with their other...

P. Terry's Burgers was founded on the concept of providing Austin with a top quality, affordable hamburger in a classic 50's style setting of the famous drive-ins of Patrick Terry's childhood in Abilene, Texas. The first location opened July 5, 2005 at the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs Drive in Austin, Texas. That first location is now a landmark not only in hamburger history, but one of Austin's most revered and recommended burger joints in town. So if you're ever in Austin, visit one of P. Terry's 16 locations and see what all the hubbub is about. As a side note, their shakes have been known to cure the blues, put pep in your step, and smooth out wrinkles. It's the smile that smooths the wrinkles, actually.
Addendum: I don't know why the fifth star didn't show in the initial review. Must have been a glitch on my part. But you earned 5 stars and you earned it fair and square. Here you go, Mr. Terry. Now make me a Double...
