It’s as authentic s it can be. I can’t stand texmex and imagine the joy of finding authentic Mexican food! Unassuming outside, pretty sad and dilapidating surrounding but once inside, you know you found a gem! The restaurant feels just like being in Mexico! The entire menu looks promising. Bunch of central / southern Mexican delights. They offer daily lunch special at $9.99. We ordered enchiladas ground beef green sauce and Chile rellenos picadillo. Everything tasted yummy 😋 Said was a chirpy happy young man who took my order quickly and politely with a big smile. I was in and out in 20 mins . Bathroom was newly renovated - and it’s so clean you can actually sit down. Very happy .

It’s a hole in the wall restaurant, where you go with the expectation that it’ll be a bit grungy. The chips and salsa were good and spicy, but the mains were a bit subpar. We enjoyed the rice and beans but the meat missed the mark. My beef was quite tough and I actually ordered a beef fajita plate, but there were no grilled bell peppers or onions. The tortillas are not homemade, but the flour ones were okay. It’s an average place and service was okay, but they mainly spoke Spanish. I don’t think it’ll be back here.

I really enjoyed my experience at Taqueria Arandinas. The food had big portions and was affordable. When I walked in I did have to wait a few minutes before anyone spoke to me, and when the server came she spoke to me in Spanish. I know enough Spanish to order food so it was all good. It reminds me of ordering at a Michocana. I'm okay with sort of setup and I feel it adds to the environment. My nachos were tasty and affordable and I had a giant Horchata, which I loved. I would be willing to go back one day.

This review is for the service and staff only, as I never received any food. I placed an order on DoorDash, and the order was cancelled because the restaurant told the Dasher that someone else had picked up my order. Okay, it happens. I get it. DoorDash was awesome and quickly gave me a refund.

So I decide to try again, but this time I place a pick up order. I drive to the restaurant, and they tell me the same thing they told the Dasher—that someone else picked up my order.

It should be easy enough to clear up the confusion. I did, after all, place the exact same order as the delivery order. But none of the staff speak or understand a word of English, making communication impossible if you don’t speak any English. From what I could gather, they were trying to claim that I didn’t pay for my pickup order, but I showed them my email receipt for when DoorDash charged me for the pickup order. Nope. Not enough.

They call DoorDash, and asked DoorDash to explain to me that my order was picked up my someone else. I explained to the DoorDash person that they are confusing the delivery order with the pickup order. They took back the phone and spoke in Spanish. Based on my Google Translate app, it appeared they were disputing with DoorDash about payment. I think they then put DoorDash on hold to answer other calls. I waited around 10-15 minutes and spoke to DoorDash via the chat feature on my app. I asked the staff if they were planning to give me food or if I should just leave. They didn’t answer me. So I left.

NEVER coming back. The place looked like an unsanitary...

Holy cow the Mexican food here was delicious. On the outside the place looks a little sketch but what they are cooking inside is awesome. Chips and salsa were good. They bring you 3 different salsas (two red, one green) and all of them spicy, two of the three are really spicy. I got the carne asada plate. Nice size piece of meat. It came with a grilled bulb onion, cactus, and a grilled jalapeño with rice and charro beans. The beans were super flavorful. The rice was good. The carne asada was seasoned perfectly and was so sooo good. The plate also had a sliced tomato, lettuce, and a couple slice of avocado . Flour tortillas were good as well. I wish we had a Mexican restaurant like this in Houston. I can’t wait to come back to Austin because I’ll be coming here again. My waitress was attentive and took very good care of me. I didn’t get her name but she had glasses. Nice job...

My favorite restaurant chain for Mexican food but I will never go to this location again! The service was great but the food was horrible. I got the shrimp quesadilla and it barely had any cheese and was so wet the tortilla was just falling apart. Same thing with the nachos...cheese was barely melted and the tortilla chips were so wet you had to eat with a fork. My kids got a large burrito, a torta, and tacos. The only thing that was finished were the tacos and I have teenagers who usually ask for seconds. I do not recommend this place at all. It's NOTHING like the riverside location. I HIGHLY recommend the riverside location. Riverside has never disappointed and they also have a great bar with the...
