Such a cute spot to hang out! They were literally playing a guided meditation while we sat outside sipping our drinks--super peaceful vibes. They have an extensive menu, including daily specials, spring/summer protein smoothies, their regular smoothie offerings, and a hot tea/add-ins menu. It also looks like they've partnered with or opened a Chickpea food truck, which is parked right across from the ordering window.
We came on National Smoothie Day, so all smoothies were 50% off--a fun bonus! Since it was our first time, we decided to try their chakra smoothies.
I Speak ($12 for 18 oz | $14 for 24 oz): Made with pineapple, banana, coconut meat, blue spirulina, coconut yogurt, agave, cinnamon, coconut milk, and vanilla. Despite all the coconut ingredients, the flavor was nicely balanced--not overpowering. It had a beautiful blue color with a swirl of white at the bottom that reminded me of clouds in the sky. Just the right amount of sweetness, too.
I Love ($12 for 18 oz | $14 for 24 oz): This one had avocado, green apple, spinach, banana, lemon wedge, honey, pressed oranges, coconut water, ginger, agave magnesium, and bee pollen. It was very citrus-forward with a strong ginger aftertaste, and the sweetness didn't come through as much. We ended up mixing it with the I Speak smoothie, which helped...

This place feels like the owners had this grand vision of the ultimate smoothie shop—one that’s not just about smoothies but also yoga, flea markets, workshops, and who knows what else. And while that all sounds great in theory, from the outside looking in, it’s just… confusing and frustrating. And as a neighbor? Downright infuriating.
Don’t get me wrong—the smoothies are excellent. Pricey, but good. I assume that’s because they use fresh fruit instead of frozen, and I respect the commitment because it does yield a far superior smoothie. But I could do without the never-ending pop-ups that attract every wannabe influencer in the Austin Metropolitan area. Between the traffic jams, noise, and general chaos, it feels less like a community hub and more like a circus nobody warned the locals about.
At the end of the day, I get it. The owners can do whatever they want because it’s their place, and the business is in a tough spot, so I get that the owners have to do what they have to do to generate traffic. I’ll admit I’m biased since I live nearby, and the neighborhood gets the worst of it. The smoothies are phenomenal but expensive, so I usually just go across the street to Blenders & Bowls. That said, the food is great, and the owner I met (a blonde lady) was...

Besides all of the wonderful assortment of offerings they have here, they also have a gracious heart! BIG O never ever forgets a kindness. Thank you 😊
Why the bathroom door? **Well, when I got to Austin on this business trip, I saw all of the homeless people and just had to do something. So I gave the apartment I rented to a couple of them, and slept in my rental car downstairs. I'm so blessed , that if I can give someone a couple of days respite and respect, why not? (And like Jesus, I've learned that we truly never know what someone's experience is like, unless we live it ourselves). Trust me, until YOU live it, you'll never truly know what all they're going through every single day. Be kind to one today. 🙏🏾 Thanks to the thoughtfulness of whoever owns Prana, I was still able to use their outside bathroom, and freshen up for my business stuff, without disturbing my guest. Now, I don't know if that's why they have an outside facility (to help the homeless), but as one for those 2 days, I really appreciated it, and wish you guys/gals/ whatever is politically correct to say here 😄, every good...
