Roppolo's has always been there when you needed them most whether you knew it or not. If you’ve been to 6th street and have drunkenly ordered a big slice of pizza at 2am, then chances are that you ordered it from Roppolo’s. A life saver in your most dire time of need! But does it live up to it’s name at 2pm when you’re just craving pizza for lunch? Yes! I recently got to try them out at their West Campus location and got:
The Godfather (28”) : sausage, pepperoni, bacon, beef, and meatballs Rosalie (28”): Italian olive oil, ricotta cheese, spinach, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms & garlic Italian Rolls: Pepperoni, Jalapeño Bacon, and Apple Cinnamon The Italian Garden Calzone: spinach, artichoke, garlic, roasted red & gold peppers, mushrooms & olive oil
First, the pizza was great. The food is very filling for the price you pay. These came with garlic crust which I enjoyed too! The italian rolls? Those were my favorite thing to eat - particularly the jalapeño bacon ones. I could eat those all day! The apple cinnamon was delicious too - the apple was subtle. The calzones? HUGE and a fun way to eat pizza. Holistically, the portions are huge and the prices are affordable across the board. I suggest coming here for when you’re craving something casual and comforting.
The service was great and the environment is chill. They have outside dining too if you prefer that during the upcoming beautiful spring days. All in all, I would suggest y’all to support local and try them out. Make sure to follow them to keep up with various specials they put out! I had...
Read moreFood is tasty. Giant slices of reheated yummy pizza. The ambiance is chill. Wifi is great. The service needs tweaking but satisfactory all around. It's a great place for a bite and to study. I love when they open the glass doors towards the street ^_^
A few recommendations: For the Womens restroom, some disposable toilet seat covers would be great for a public restroom. A soap dispenser that isn't a plastic bottle of dish soap would be nice lol maybe one of those push press upside down ones would be cool. And some paper towels for hand drying too. Also, a foot pull/opener for the bottom of the door would be awesome!
For the margharita pizza, if the basil toppings are added after the pizza is cooked, I think it would add to the visual appeal. Like that they aren't burned up in the oven. And for the Caesar salad, bitesize bits of the romaine lettuce would be great, just so people don't have to unhinge their jaws like anacondas to put 2x2x2 inch pieces of lettuce into their mouths ^_^
After 33 years, you guys know what you're doing. Like I started, just recommendations :) here's to another 33! 🥃🥃

Read moreFirst- I think if you’re paying around 25-30$ for a pizza it should be quality ingredients. The last few times it’s been soggy, with frozen vegetables. I’ve never in my life had thawed frozen soggy piles of uncooked cold spinach on a pizza. Second, if you leave a yelp review with concerns about this quality, the owner will personally comment AND message you bullying you and personally attacking/ insulting you. Claiming he goes to Italy every year and “99.99% of pizzas” are canned tomato sauces and frozen vegetables. what?? Seriously? Even if they are canned sometimes, I’ve been there and they’re local grown and organic, not full of sugar and preservatives like what you use. Even dominos uses real vegetables. That’s just being greedy in your business. Cannot believe how unprofessionally it’s run- that’s not how you treat customers, you address their concerns, not insinuate they’re stupid and bully them through messages. what a joke! Let’s see how he handles this review! Anticipating more rude words from you Marc, way to handle business like a...
