As I am enjoying my new dwellings here in Austin, I am also loving the fact that I am discovering great spots to chill, to have fun and to stuff my face. Pizza Press, first time here and this place got me with the gorgeous setting of old school portraits on the wall, chocolate brown chairs with lovely tables to compliment. Also, there's the beautiful staff of women (and a nice gentleman) that take great care in making your pizza. Lisa was professional, and kind when I told her this was my first time at The Pizza Press. She explained what they had, and that I could publish my own pizza, and sure enough I did. Spicy red sauce, mozzarella cheese, bacon, mushrooms, carmelized onions, BBQ sauce and jalapeno peppers that were graciously added by Lisa when I asked her if I should make it hotter...lol. Thank you Lisa ;)

Been a long time since I looked for late night pizza. Austin's pizza used to be my go to 24 hour spot in the area, but I guess COVID killed it. Stumbled on this place–what a gem. Pizza was excellent, price was super reasonable, would be tempted to up my pizza consumption if I lived nearby right now. Crazy find, definitely try them out. Loved the in-person way of building a pizza. Mod pizza had turned me off of that concept, but this place makes it work. Also, so fast! No waiting around forever for pizza to come out, it is kind of mind blowing how quick the whole process is. --- Finally made it back again. Still amazing? Love this place. Cauliflower crust was great, too, had a slice of a friend's pizza.

Came here originally because I heard they had vegan options, but turned out they charge $2 extra for making cruelty free choices that are better for health and environment. People shouldn't be panelized for making better decisions. They totally don't have to charge extra because Mod Pizza and other places don't charge extra. Which is why despite the fact I liked the pizza here, I will not come back. Once you remove the penalty for cruelty free choices I will come back. Mod has beyond sausage and here we couldn't have any vegan meat, and also paid extra for cheese. It's not acceptable. There's a lot of cruelty in dairy industry so people should be encouraged to choose vegan options not panelized.

I don't particular pizza but I really like Pizza Press because its a customizable pizza. I am a bit of a picky eater so its always hard to find a premade pizza that fits my palette completely, but I make the choices here so if I ever didn't like my pizza, which has never happened, then it would be my fault entirely and not theirs. They have a lot of choices to choose from as well which is also what I like about them. They have the ricotta cheese which I love and they never skimp out on the toppings, if anything, they have laid it on too thick before which I never thought could happen. Also, the staff there is very efficient and nice. They move quickly even though everything I have gone it they have been busy. I have also gone in and not ordered anything but they've never kicked me out or made me feel not welcomed. I guess the only thing that I don't really like about Pizza Press is their cookies. It's a minor thing seeing as they are a pizza place but I don't really recommend their cookies to anyone cause they were not...

I was thrilled to see that plant-based (vegan) cheese was offered! However, I was VERY disappointed that it cost an EXTRA $1.

Mod Pizza does NOT have an up-charge for their plant-based (vegan) pizza. In fact, they even have plant-based sausage crumbles and vegan cheese for the SAME price as any other regular pizza.

So why is it different here?

Most minorities are lactose-intolerant, and cheese made with cow's milk leads to poor health (linked to obesity, diabetes, cancer), is bad for the environment, and involves stealing milk meant for a baby calf.

The pizza was reasonably tasty and the staff was helpful (though, they did seem short-staffed).

My rating would have been higher, but for the upcharge for choosing an option (plant-based cheese) that is better for the environment, better for health, and better for the animals.

I encourage you to serve more plant-based options and toppings at the same price as the...

Not vegan/allergin friendly and frankly not that good.

My boyfriend called and asked for a vegan pizza. The person answering said there was a vegetarian pizza they could make vegan by substituting vegan cheese. After picking it up I noticed a pesto sauce on it. My boyfriend called to inquire whether or not it was vegan. The same person who took our order said the pesto sauce had cheese in it. My boyfriend said the pizza we ordered was supposed to be vegan had the sauce. The person replied "did you just pick it up?". We replied we had just been in minutes before and the person replied "yeah I might have added it on but I am not sure.". We asked for a refund, to which he replied "uhhhhhhhhhhhhh" and paused. Eventually he said "i guess.". My boyfriend apologized to him and he said said "mmhmm". Terrible experience. Would have been okay if my boyfriend enjoyed his pizza but it was far below average in...
