Had an amazing time dining in with our family visiting from Detroit! We wanted them to experience a little bit of Detroit right here in the heart of Texas! We had an amazing time, the food is absolutely delicious. Not only was our food delicious but the atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting, clean and youthful. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. I came in expecting to favor the Bar style and not care for the Detroit style.(New York style is my fav!) I was surprisingly wrong! The Detroit style is amazing 👏🏽 It's a crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, topped with your favorite toppings...and just when you thought they were done...they loaded it up with cheese and sauce. When we return...it will be for the Detroit style! Shout out to the awesome cheesy bread we had, it was honestly probably the best I've had. For you Boston Cooler and Faygo fans, yes they have it and it's yummalicious! (Yes, that is a word) Don't leave without trying the cinnamon bread! Just to give you a glimpse of the goodness...picture Detroit style pizza dough had a baby with the best cinnamon rolls you've ever had and bam...there it is. Our family from Detroit actually said it was better than what they eat in Detroit.. I highly recommend this establishment.

Update* 7/9/22 Enjoyed a delicious dinner with my family here again. The food is still amazing. The parking is free in the garage and a quick walk around the building (2 minutes if that). For those who are disabled this restaurant is accessible! The parking is underground and handicap parking is available right next to the sidewalk leading to the restaurant. This is a kid friendly restaurant as well for those who are wondering. If you're vegetarian there are options for you, but if you're on a diet you really shouldn't come! Just kidding, have your...

Having ordered and enjoyed Via 313 many times, I was VERY disappointed by our experience over the holidays. We ordered over $100 worth of pizza for pick up. As others have indicated, the pies are pricy but they are good so we are willing to spend. However, I would expect a certain level of service to go along with a gourmet price tag and that service was non existent. I placed my order online via their website and a pick up time was generated through the website. When I arrived at my designated time, I was told the pizzas weren't ready and that I was welcome to sit at the bar and wait, which I did. I waited, and waited, asked servers that passed by for an eta, saw other customers arrive, sit down next to me for a drink and leave with their orders. By this time an additional half hour had past since my designated pick up time. Now I was upset, my family was hungry and upset. And yet still no pizzas. I then asked for what was probably the 5th time for an update and was given another, "oh just 5 more minutes" line. And since I had already paid at the time I ordered AND given them a 20% tip in advance, I felt obligated to wait. I walked out of their with my pizzas a full 45 minutes after the time that they were supposed to be ready!!! No one apologized, no one offered a discount or a coupon for future orders, nothing. And to make it even worse, the pizza was cold by the time I got home with it! I will never order from Via 313 again. I wrote a note to them about my experience through their online portal and did not receive a response. If you are going to price yourselves in the upscale market of pizza, then treat your customers with more respect. It's not that hard, it's the right thing to do, and it will generate more loyal customers for life. As for...

Via 313 is my favorite pizza in Austin. I've had them when they were served out of a cart on east 6th, when they were in the back of a bar on Rainey Street and also frequented their storefront on east 6th when they first opened up. So I'm a huge fan. Then some bad stuff happened in the world and I didn't get an opportunity to eat at via 313 for around 2 years until recently.

In the last few months, I've come to this specific location a couple of times. There were also some events where Via 313 was catered though I don't know if it's from this location. So from all this, the verdict is clear. Unfortunately, it's nowhere near as good as it once was!

I don't know if it's this specific location (have not tried other locations recently), or if cost cutter measures have been taken in regards to the ingredients and/or methods, but there's no longer a wow factor.

The cheese wasn't the best, the thickness feels less, the sauce felt cheap and hastily put on, the edges werent crispy and burnt. It's still unique but feels commercialized and the care, attention and love feels gone.

I even compared a pic from 2019 from a different location and this one of the classic cheese, and the difference in look and quality is miles apart.

I do hope this is a location specific problem, I noticed the quality, service, and care seems to diminish the closer we get to serving the student crowds.

The drinks were also very watered down. Service was overall nice.

Anyway, hoping I'm wrong on the above and next time will be the excellent pizza I remember from years back. Maybe I'll try a different location and see if...

Today, I wanted to give Austin another shot at good pizza. The amount of subpar pizza parlors in this area are shameful. In a place noted for a ton of places to eat, I suppose that doesn't mean there are actually a ton of...good places to eat. Thankfully, Via 313 knows what they're doing! The staff is friendly, the menu is nice and small. It's straight to the point instead of bombarding you with a bunch of junk items like the obnoxious bloatware on the latest cellphone. If you have a question, just ask the staff. Here, they actually know the menu and can answer the vast majority of your questions which is something in and of itself. Along with the pleasantly straight forward and tasty menu items, the location offers a decent selection of local beers and, if you're a wine and dine kinda person, they've got that covered too. I ordered the Detroit style. I wanted a deep dish pizza and after the disaster that was Conans deepdish (I walked out after one slice) I was sceptical on what I would get even though so many have said to go here. There was no disappointment to be had here! The pizza is flavorful, the sauce isnt overwhelming, the crust is light where it needs to be and crunchy on the outside like a pizza should be. There are literally no complaints here. They even gave me some tasty veggies (a side dish of cauliflower and broccoli) to welcome me on my first visit. If you want good pizza, look no further. You'd be hard to find better quality anywhere else. Not to mention the place is nice and clean.
