I recently had the pleasure of dining at Abbalé Telavivian Kitchen in Aventura, Florida, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. The eclectic menu offers a delightful blend of Mediterranean flavors, with each dish crafted to perfection.
Crispy Halloumi and Grapefruit Salad As a halloumi cheese enthusiast, I was thrilled with this dish. The halloumi was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired beautifully with the tartness of the grapefruit. The combination was refreshing and savory, making it an absolute must-try.
Crunchy Cauliflower This dish quickly became one of my favorites. The cauliflower was cooked to a perfect crunch and seasoned with a medley of spices that elevated its natural flavors. It's a simple yet brilliantly executed dish that I can't recommend enough.
Salatim Trio The Salatim Trio is a standout offering. This trio of dips and spreads is a must-try for anyone visiting Abbalé. Each component was bursting with flavor and freshness, showcasing the vibrant and diverse tastes of the Mediterranean.
Flat Iron Steak Shashlik The flat iron steak shashlik was another highlight of the meal. The steak was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was juicy and flavorful, making it clear that this dish is a labor of love and culinary skill.
Tahini Soft Serve To end our meal, we indulged in the tahini soft serve, which I must declare is the best soft serve ever. The creamy texture and unique tahini flavor were absolutely divine. It's a dessert you simply cannot miss—do yourself a favor and try it. I promise, you won't regret it.
Service Our dining experience was further enhanced by the exceptional service. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her warm and attentive service added a personal touch that made our visit even more enjoyable.

Abbalé is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is calm, inviting, and enticing all at once. The service is impeccable, with all the staff being amazing. It feels like one big happy family. We went for dinner and returned the very next day for brunch. It was that incredible. Scrumptious, to say the least.
There isn't just one standout dish; everything we ate was beyond exceptional. It's hard to pick a favorite. From the crunchy cauliflower bites glazed in sticky, savory sweetness, to the Salatim trio of dips served with warm pita and Persian cucumbers dusted with sumac and salt—oh my goodness! The falafel was perfectly crisp on the outside and herbaceously fluffy on the inside. Then there was the Hamachi crudo and tuna tartar. The flavors and spices were exquisite. As if that weren't enough, we also had the burger! The frites were an added bonus, especially when dipped in the leftover Salatim trio.
Lastly, but certainly not least, the Tahini ice cream is something I will return for over and over again. Shaved halvah adorned the top, creating a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Creamy perfection. My fiancée favored the labneh cheesecake, which was better than words can describe. Perhaps the fact that he ate it at both dinner and after brunch is telling enough!
Speaking of brunch, fast forward to the very next day. Of course, we got the Salatim trio again with warm pita and Persian cucumbers. This was followed by the delightful Halloumi and grapefruit salad to share. The Avo labneh toast was layers of flavor, from the perfectly toasted sourdough smeared with a thin coating of perfect labneh, topped with smashed avocado and other...
Read moreOn my second visit to Abbale Televivan, my experience left much to be desired. Notably, the menu featured hearts next to certain "favorite" dishes, a promising touch that ultimately fell short in execution. For example, I ordered the Prime Burger, which the server inquired about my preferred doneness—yet, despite my response, it arrived very well done, reminiscent of a subpar beach club offering. This disappointment was compounded by a 25-minute wait for our food in a conspicuously empty restaurant, which puzzled us given the lack of other patrons.
Further adding to our frustration, after ordering, I moved to sit next to my guest on the same side of the booth. We spent the next 25 minutes there, clearly indicating our preference to dine side-by-side. However, when our food finally arrived and I formally requested that our tables be combined to continue as we were, the server's response was baffling: she needed to check with the hostess—an unnecessary step in what was clearly an empty dining area. It felt almost like a prank when she returned to suggest that a large party might be arriving soon—a highly unlikely scenario.
By the time she returned, I had resigned myself to my original seat, eager to just eat and leave. The poor quality of the food only intensified the irritation of the overall experience. In a moment where decent service or dining could have salvaged the visit, everything seemed to add insult to injury. I left with a firm decision to not return, especially given the wealth of better dining options now available in Aventura. There’s simply no reason to waste time and money at Abbale Televivan. Unobtrusive service, something evidently not trained at this establishment, could have made...
