Casa D'Angelo in Aventura offers a sophisticated Italian dining experience with some remarkable highlights. We decided to venture a dine-in after a great experience she had before at the Fort Lauderdale location. 🏡
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the professional service staff, setting a positive tone for the evening. The ambiance is elegant, reflective of the high upscale dining standards expected from such an establishment. ✨
As we settled in, we were served with classic Italian bruschettas accompanied by a side of olives. The grilled bread with fresh tomato sauce and garlic was a delicious start, whetting our appetites as we awaited the appetizer.🍴Cutlery up!
We began our meal with the fried calamari appetizer that she knows is one of my favorites. They prepared it with an addition of zucchini strings. The calamari was perfectly crispy, and the zucchini strings provided a fresh, contrasting touch with a tasteful marinara sauce to dip in. Although I missed the opportunity to try burrata, I'll hold that as one of the reasons to get back.
For the main course, I opted for the salmon with vegetables. No regrets. The salmon was expertly cooked, boasting a crisp exterior and a tender, moist interior. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and well-prepared, creating a harmonious balance. My dining companion chose the ravioli, her favorite from the Fort Lauderdale branch. The ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach has a luscious buttery consistency and a soft, satisfying texture that lives up to its reputation. 🍝
Enhancing our dining experience, we enjoyed a few glasses of Chateau Ste. Michelle. This Washington State Chardonnay is known for its vibrant notes of tropical fruit, apple, and pear, complemented by subtle oak and vanilla undertones. The wine's medium body and well-balanced acidity made it an excellent pairing with both our seafood and creamy pasta dishes. 🍷
We ended our dinner with pistachio ice cream. While it's hard to go wrong with such a classic dessert, the ice cream was creamy and rich, serving as a satisfying conclusion to our meal and, of course, as an excuse to that couple moment when you feed each other I wanted. 🍨💚
Overall, Casa D'Angelo delivers an outstanding dining experience, supported by warm and professional staff. The restaurant upholds high standards of Italian cuisine with service excellence and remains a worthy choice for those seeking quality meals in Aventura or any of its other locations. 🎉

Read moreCasa d'Angelo promised to be an upscale Italian dining experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
The service was not unfreindly, but still quite poor. Our wine glasses were delivered right after I ordered, however, the wine only showed up after the appetizers had been fully consumed, yet well before the meal itself. To make matters worse, the waiter then proceeded to spill wine on the tablecloth and glass as he was pouring it, and not only did he not apologize, but he also failed to even so much as acknowledge the mistake. This was particularly egregious, considering it was the most expensive by-the-glass option on the menu and he engaged in exactly none of the typical wine etiquette one would expect around a $50 glass of wine, not even so much as asking if I approved of the wine or how I liked it.
The food was decent but unmemorable and the service simply continued to deteriorate as the night went on, with staff ignoring us nearly entirely and the wait for the check taking forever after our meal was completed and the table cleared. The numerous staff seemed uncoordinated, and I listened in frustration as our waiter repeatedly spent time soliciting reviews from other tables instead of attending to our needs. Several folks came by asking if I wanted to pay, (was it that obvious? I do hope so!) yet it still took three of them to eventually manage to get a check out to us, and only after quite some time, even after I was frustrated with being held hostage by a failure to bill me in anything like a timely manner. I don't know how long it really was, but I am certain it was over 15 minutes and it felt like it was over a half hour. A long time when you're uncomfortable, cold and just want to leave and go home. (it was a rare SUPER cold night, in the low 50's, and the temperature had dropped 10+ degrees since we'd been seated, and the wind had picked up as well. Not their fault, but certainly a good reason to help guests get paid up in a timely manner!)
The atmosphere had potential, but poor service and lack of attention to detail overshadowed any positive aspects of the dining experience. I would recommend dining elsewhere, based on...
Read moreI had an amazing dining experience. My mother and I went to Casa D’Angelo in Aventura, FL and had one of the best meals I have had in ages. The attention to detail, service and food was beyond my expectations. It was a night filled with divine food in a beautiful setting with a staff that was there to make sure every moment was an enjoyable one. Stefano, the manager, and Pablo, our waiter were the epitome of professional and caring. They clearly take great pride in the restaurant, and it shows in every way. We started with the Fiori Di Zucca (stuffed zucchini blossoms) and the Pulpo (octopus). Both were delicious but the octopus was the winner. It was the most tender and flavorful octopus I have eaten. It was grilled and cooked to perfection. I could be content sitting at the bar having a glass of wine and octopus for dinner and be a happy camper! For our main courses we had the grilled Costoletta (veal chop). It was tender, full of flavor and complete with an assortment of perfectly grilled vegetables. We also had the Black Spaghetti Frutti Di Mare – homemade black spaghetti with a mixture of seafood (lobster clams, shrimp). It was a knockout. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the seafood was fresh and delicious. The sauce had just a hint of spiciness that set off the seafood beautifully. All of the portions are generous and served piping hot. I never felt that we were being rushed to the next course giving us the time to truly savor the meal. And now for dessert. A friend of mine always says “there’s always room for sugar” and indeed, there was. We had Zabaglione with mixed berries and Chocolate Tartuffe filled with pistachio gelato. Both were amazing, refreshing and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. As I said in the beginning, it was an amazing evening. The service was superb, the ambience is lovely, and it is clear management pays close attention to the details that make this an outstanding restaurant. I look forward to my...
