Juicy Burger — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I wish I could give this place a better review. But I can't. They were at best just, meh. Let me start by saying that it's one of the few places in town that my family can agree on. I have 2 very picky eaters, a middle of the road appetite, and mine; well I'm up for almost anything. We arrive fill out our wipe off cards, 3 burgers and a chicken sandwich. All as Combos. When we handed our boards to the cashier, I have to say she was attentive and friendly. So that was great. She asked if we would like our burgers grilled or charbroiled. I didn't know the difference the way the meant and she explained it well. So all 3 charbroiled. She immediately ordered back 3 burgers and a grilled chicken to get them started. She entered in the requirements of each sandwich, what we wanted with each combo. 3 half & half's, 1 fry & 1 sweet potato fry. 2 sodas and a cookies and cream shake, and a mint chocolate chip shake. My daughter says her chicken sandwich, fries and shake were great. I might add, I remember there used to be whip cream and a cherry on the shakes. Hers had none. My other daughter loved here set potato fries, but was disappointed they were out of Swiss cheese. But lived everything else. My wife kind of liked here's but felt the burger was burned, well over well done. And the onion rings were rubbery and tasteless. My burger was good, I went for the spicy side. Spicy mustard, chipotle mayo, pepper Jack cheese, with added bacon that could have bee cooked longer, and mushrooms that weren't very sauteed. My shake was awesome, but I wish the chocolate chips which were more chocolate little planks could come up the straw. I ended with a big cluster at the bottom. So our all in all experience was OK, but I wish it could have been better. I hope things improve, we would hate this place to go away. I might add that I was impressed with customer service on another aspect. A woman and her child had a complaint about their burger. And the anger came out from working in the back to help the cashier, and make sure she was heard and taken care of properly. Now that's was great...

I ordered from Uber eats under the name “thick chick” a combo kitchen being ran out of juicy Burger’s establishment. Conveniently there’s no way to directly rate “Thick chick”. However, a look at combo kitchens website and you see they advertise that these virtual restaurants use the same staff and kitchen to prepare the virtual restaurant food.

Do not order ANY of the virtual concept restaurants on take out apps from this restaurant. (There are six, hotdog parade, smash mouth burgers, Beverly Hills burger bungalow, Cupid’s wings, philly fresh cheesesteaks, and then thick chick) all of these restaurants using the same kitchen, and the same overworked staff to make food.

I paid $9 (not including the extra fees and tip for driver) for a frozen patty, dollar store buns, and over cooked box Mac and cheese that had the sauce so stretched out it was practically just buttered noodles. Oh and the Mac and cheese was delivered as if it were straight out of the fridge. No warming up at all.

Oh and the sandwich was supposed to have cole slaw on it and it didn’t. Though honestly, I’m glad considering the quality of the other items.

The picture and descriptions of the food advertised on the ordering apps states that the patty is a buttermilk fried piece chicken, not a mechanically separated chicken patty. The buns look to be some sort of artisan kind but they are not. Overall awful...

Juicy Burger is kid friendly and myself and my daughter ate for. $21.99, and the food was fresh and hot and tasted delicious and feeling. This is one of my favorite places for a Burger also unlike a lot of Burger places in Bakersfield this one is not shy to use the A/C parking is good,clean,and quick service also they have thing the kids can color,or read free refill,and high chairs with access to restrooms. Right off the interstate and quick access to Highway 99 within 5 minutes. Also if your heading to the Kern River Valley, stop by here to enjoy a good Burger. I eat this meal...
