Whataburger — Restaurant in Balch Springs

VISIT: 8/6/25 | 4:18 pm (DISCLAIMER: It was not busy at the time of my visit) FOOD: 5/5 Delicious, smoking hot, and well seasoned, I tried out the new Bacon wrangler double cheese burger, i was unsure whether i would like it since it's new but i was in for a treat, definitely a savory, cheesy mouth watering burger, id highly recommend. I also tried my plus one's Tenders and i must say they were fairly decent, a bit on the dry side but well seasoned. SERVICE: 5/5 Very patient and friendly , when asked about different items on the menu as well as new items i was met with concise, confident answers. Above all else the whole time i was met with a smile, both entering and leaving the facility. Thanks! BUILDING: 5/5 (As mentioned it was not busy during my visit ) The lobby and outside areas were spotless, very clean and no foul or strange odors, the restrooms were clean and well maintained. Atmosphere: 5/5 Very calm and relaxing, great place to grab a bite with friends/family and stay for a while. CONCLUSION: If you're ever in the mood for a great hot meal i recommend giving this location a shot, especially for dine-in meals. Staff are very friendly as well as the locals, restrooms are well maintained.

However as mentioned numerous times before, i went when it was NOT busy, so my experience will greatly differ from those who arrive when the location is busy or through the drive-thru. Thank you i shall return...

Went after church with my family to go eat. We saw a couple of employees joking around but what bothered us was that it looked like they were bullying one of their employees. They had visibly embarrassed him and made him upset. We confronted the 2 employees on our way out and told them that it was not funny to be making fun of someone, especially in public with customers around. They said they were just joking but it was obvious that it was a one-sided joke, he did not have the response of someone that was enjoying the joke and having fun. One of them stated that she sticks up for him but I was watching the entire time and not once did she stick up for him, she stood against the wall and was smiling and laughing with the one who was making comments.

You do not make fun of someone and publicly embarrass them. It doesn’t matter if he was being bossy, they did it in the dining hall where anyone and everyone could hear. On his way out, he looked at us upset and completely embarrassed.

Take that to the back. Y’all want to joke around and have fun at work or whatever, take it to the back and keep it between each other.

I, as well as my family, are extremely upset with how they were treating their coworker. I hope that something changes and they learn to watch what they say to someone and when they say it. Maybe the intention wasn’t to publicly humiliate him, but that’s how it came across. Will never be going to the location again, that was beyond disrespectful...

Decided to give this place another chance. Jalon is the best! I loved his attitude, he really cared for the customers. I wish a lot more people were like him. Looks like a lot of the people from 4 months ago are gone, replaced by nicer individuals. Will definitely be coming back to this place if this continues.

This location used to be awesome. I came here over the one off of 635 because the employees were super nice, greeted you, made you feel welcome, and the food always came hot and delicious. Came often enough to recognize some of the employees. After a while, new people came in and along came the awful attitudes, uncaring faces, and indifference. I believe the manager I used to love seeing was eventually gone as well. Gave the place a few more tries, usually do before I decide to write a review, but it just wasn't getting better. Food was even coming out cold, fries were given cold and hard. Couldn't even ask for anything at the registers because they just give you a look of "why the hell are you asking me?" I understand that working fast food can suck, but those of us that really try to be nice to cashiers get the bad deal in the end. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming to this location anymore. It's gotten just as bad the one one off of 635...
