Golden Kirin Restaurant — Restaurant in Balcones Heights

We decided to visit this restaurant today during lunch time and I was super busy so one would assume the food would be hot and fresh ....Wrong!!! It was pretty crowded so we were able to get a table. They only had one waiter and it took a minute to order .We finally order 2 egg rolls and combination fried rice and scallops with shrimp and snow peas entree to share that was 16.70 and 2 drinks .First the egg rolls came a little over fried and the cabbage inside was still kind of raw so we just ate the out side then the waiter finally brings out the fried rice and the entree .Looking at the entree I could already see it's was entirely snow peas and very little scallops and and shrimp the snow peas were not chewable the scallops had 1 cut into 4 small ones and the shrimp were the shrimp from the combination fried rice the smaller ones maybe all of 5 shrimp is what it had so we tried to eat and not complain but the one scallops was rubber like not fully cooked and the shrimps were not fully cooked and the sauce was Barely warm so I go on to the rice the pork cubes jn the rice were refrigerator cold and the grains were hard like when it's not fresh so I finally spoke up and brought it to the waiters attention so he takes it back brings out another the same stuff he took back just warmed up and the same thing with the rice .After I complained I hear the others talking in their language but in a way that they were upset and they kept looking over at us so we tried to eat the reheated food but it was a no go like out of the entree I got one scallop and 1 shrimp and my dad got a spoonfuls of what was left meat se which was 4 salad size shrimps and the rest of that one scallop and the rice didn't have the usuall flavorings being that the grains were hard it would get stuck on your teeth the best thing about this whole meal that was 40 dollars by the way for lunch were the drinks but that's about it and to be made to feel so so bad after they didn't make it right just made me realize we wouldn't be eating here again MY advice save ur money and time we had to get something to eat like about an hour after cause we were still hungry!!! Not worth it!!! Worst Place I have EVER been! I read the reviews and gave this place a chance. I will never go back. When I called and placed my order the waitress repeated what I said. After I got there I waited at the door and did not recieve a greeting. Also it's not like the place was busy. They only had 3 customers and I was number 4. Once I had my food the lady told me to wait 5 more mintues to get part of my order thatthey forgot to pack and my other food item where on the counter getting cold. When I made it home which I live only a mile or so away from this place some of my food was cold and I had the wrong dinner. When I called back the lady stated I could bring my food back and she can charge me for the difference for her mistake! She also stated that she assumed that I wanted the dinner they gave me instead of what I acutually ordered. Even though she repeated what I said. Then I spoke to her manager the next morning and that was no help. I don't know what one would expect from a resturant but at least if I am going to pay insane amount of money for dinner I would expect to get the...

3-5-2016 lady that took my order was rude..I felt like I was a nuisance to place my order..so I'm paying almost 13 bucks for a dinner and I ask for a different soup..no substitutions is what I'm told..lol..I ask for sweet tea..nope they don't do that either...the lady points at a table to signal where to sit and wait like I'm a lil kid...I'm 32 years old..I asked how long and was told rudely 15 minutes...so I leave and come back to get food and they put the drink in the bag with the rest of the food and proudly told me how small the drink was...if this experience couldn't get any worse I get home and my "steak" was tiny as you know what and salty and chewy..gross..the portion of lemon chicken was horrible...these comments about good portioning are b.s....I barely had a few tiny pieces of pork in my pork fried rice...the only thing good was the egg roll..never will I go back..I just wanted to try somewhere new and this place failed big time...the...
