If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD !! My first time going and absolutely would never go BACK AGAIN and here’s why . When I walked in the restaurant the cashier had a little attitude when we walked in but we paid no mind we then asked for 2 adults and 2 adult drinks she charged us then asked us how old was our son and we had replied with the age of 2 - she then asked to measure his hight to see if he was under or over 3 feet and if he was over 3 feet we would have to pay 3.99 . My son was under but it still didn’t make sense bc the sign on the door say any child UNDER THE AGE OF 3 EATS FREE . But I didn’t get charged so who cares . We then sat down and got our food I had got beef and broccoli my son Mac and fries and my husband fish and rice .. I took my first bite of the meat and it was cold and chewy but I swollowed it bc ofc people are eating around me and I’m classy I don’t like to be nasty , so then I took another bite of the meat and rice and it was BLOODY , though and chewy . It still had its red color inside before my husband had even took a bite of his plate he looked through the meat and saw that it was all un cooked ! I then started panicking bc 2 days prior I had found out I was 7 weeks pregnant - my husband had called the waitress and had explained what had happened and she was super nice and understanding and directed us to the manager. We told the manager what was going on and she told us that she can not refund us our money bc we had tried the food - I the proceeded to tell them that my family has not eaten the food just me and its raw . I tell her that I’m pregnant and I can not eat this food bc it’s bad for mine and the baby health and she completely ignored what I had said and said she can not refund the purchase of 43.65 for our lunch even if we didn’t eat it we still sat down . So then I asked to speak to another manager that can properly handle the situation- the manager insisted on ONLY refunding MY PLATE bc I didn’t LIKE THE FOOD . I got upset and told her it was not about the food being ass it’s about me consuming raw meat while pregnant . They refused continuously to refund the whole order and said it was against the policy to refund the whole order so when I had asked to see the policy she said no she’s not able to show me nothing and CALLED THE POLICE ! This lady that had eaten the beef and broccoli as well had came to me and the police and asked what we had eaten bc she is 5 months pregnant and she just threw up- we had told what was going on and of course she panicked as well and asked for her money back and asked to make a report just in case our babies or ourselves got sick we could file a lawsuit , they still refused her as well the refund . The police of course sided with us and got US our refund - they started tell the police we only wanted the refund bc we didn’t like the food . While she was talking to the police about why this and why that I showed the officer the raw meat that was in a napkin SOAKED WITH BLOOD . He gave us our case number and the health expection number to call and file a complaint- they’re excuse for the raw meat was bc “ they’re a business and it’s buffet sometime the food isn’t always fresh or good “ “ they have to make they’re money some way “ I worked in fast food restaurants for over 3 years and I know if I serve someone raw meat I would be fired ! Read moreWow! What an experience. Let me start by congratulating the staff on an amazing job. I visited San Antonio for the Mexico Vs. Argentina game this past September 10 and we went to China Harbor Buffet for our lunch. As soon as we got there we were greet by the hostess and she took us straight to our table. Then a very helpful waiter came to serve our drinks and on we went to pick our meal. The waiter checked on us almost every 5 to 7 minutes. There was never a glass of Coke empty. He picked up our plates and when we came back table was nice and cleaned and ready for our new plates with clean silverware. Amazing!!! Amazing Customer Service!!! I am impressed. The food was really good and I noticed a lady walking around with a radio sending orders to the kitchen every time she noticed the line was low on food. Never have I seen this productivity in any restaurant. I never found a single dish empty. Food was always available , hot, fresh and ready. I included some photos for review. Also the cooks were always bringing food to the line. I did not get a chance to see the restrooms, but the restaurant was very clean. I looked around for signs of dirt and everything was spotless, even the glass wall (see picture). I had an beautiful experience. I write reviews for Google Maps to help travelers find a good place to stop and grab a meal and although I am critical when it comes to grading each one; this restaurant deserves 6 stars. Read moreI came to have lunch today, Sunday, July 28th, 2024. There were limited items to choose from within the buffet area so I ended up with white rice, beef & broccoli & sweet & sour chicken along with egg drop soup from their buffet. Upon sitting down to the meal I noticed something on the slice of beef from the beef & broccoli that looked different than the beef or the broccoli. Since my vision isn’t that great I took pictures of the mysterious object with my phone’s camera and to my disgust and dismay I saw what looked like some kind of caterpillar or larvae of a fly similar to a maggot from my perspective as someone that isn’t an entomologist. I took my plate up to the counter where I had just paid $18 & change plus tip for a total of around $23 and showed it to the lady at the counter.
Her response was “it’s from the broccoli” which may be true, but I do not know that to be true. Moreover, to be honest I don’t care where it’s from. Wash your vegetables prior to serving to paying customers and this can be avoided and don’t expect people to have an appetite to continue to try your limited offerings when you don’t seem to share their views on the voluntary consumption of insects.
