Retail therapy meets treasure hunting with a dash of Fiesta.
Black Friday on Black Friday- I LOVED how the store worked Black Friday after thanksgiving- numbers were passed out, and we lined up by number, given a shopping cart. In a perfect world, it would be easy to line up adults- it was a bit like training ADHD cats in a mouse house. People were complaining but we got there at 2am, stayed in line and didn’t leave when check ins happened- we played by the rules and walked away with some BIG wins. Check out was speedy, considering the piles people were taking. I also appreciate the monitoring they do - it keep’s people in check for the rules and makes the experience enjoyable. Roll outs are always a bit chaotic- but that’s part of the allure. If you don’t want to get rushed to make split second decisions, rummage through the bins and watch as items start to mix in- I’ve found amazing deals like this- and less squishing to pull a mystery box.
On the daily- yes, things get disarray through the process, but you still find amazing deals, if you know what you’re looking at. Fridays aren’t always my jam, but Saturday and Sunday are fun and I find gems, too. Not to mention that the restock roll out bins still happen. You never knew you wanted so many items. Take your time, go to the unboxing area, check for things to work, and keep on keeping on.
The staff - 10/10. They have a great staff, and some of the things they have to deal with.. I am amazed at the consistency they have with customers and the rules. Owners and staff- thank you for making this a fun experience for my wife and I, you guys really make this a heck of a time with exciting stories to tell of our...
Read moreOk. Day one everything in the store is a certain price, day two the prices go down more, day 3 the prices go down again and so forth... we went on a Saturday which was $5 day....EVERYTHING IN THE STORE is one price... If you're not into a frantic shopping experiance- stay away or stay focused and make a plan... It really was like Black Friday as it was in the old days... Especially day one from what I've heard... You will have to stand in line outside... there's usually a big line to get in and then when they open the doors it's like a Black Friday and everybody goes hauling through there with their baskets just filling them up with all kinds of electronics, clothing and shoes, vitamins and edible items ( check expiration dates), graphics, costumes and the list goes on... you never know what you're going to find FYI be aware because there were a few adult items. Nothing serious but don't be surprised.... PLEASE stop opening packages and then dumping them back in the bins for people like me to find with missing pieces... They have a box opening station, drop it in your basket, wait till your ready then go to have them opened all at once... There was at least one electrical outlet i found on the wall on the right to test items. I will never go on day one, I hate black Friday mentality, but I will be back and next time with my own...
Read moreIt's an interesting place. We went on a Friday around 1 pm. Go expecting to have to dig through lots and lots of bins filled with merchandise that has been picked through. There is no rhyme or reason as to how things are thrown together. there could bathing suits with video game components and plant food, etc. Most of the packaging was either ripped apart or torn open. Having said that, there are good deals to be had. Since it was Friday, everything was $7. I got 3 items:. A make up carousel (previously paid, thru Amazon $39.99), a very cute bathing suit and a pair of head phones. My total was around $22.50. Retail value about $94.00.
The line to check out was ridiculously long and took an inordinate amount of time. There were 3 of us in our group, we grabbed a cart and immediately one of us stood in line while the other two shopped. Otherwise I think we'd still be there.
If you go with the mindset that you're going on a treasure hunt and you're going to be there a good long while, it's worth it. But if you're expecting to run in and run out... It's not going to happen.
I recommend you go at least once. It's a kind of a fun experience and who knows what you'll find! Friday's the best day to go because although it's the priciest day (@ $7) that's the day the new stuff...
