Bambu Dessert Drinks — Restaurant in Baltimore

I brought my family of six as we were really excited to have halo halo again after having it for the first time on the West Coast. I expressed this to a very cold front end staff member taking orders. Of course with six people comes a lot of questions when trying to order new foods. Sadly, those questions could not be answered by the lady working at the front. She had not tried 99% of the menu and could not give any recommendations. The person that came from the back was even more cold. We should have said thanks, but no thanks at that time. Out of 5 orders (due to lack of product knowledge, my son opted to pass, smart) we threw away the halo halo, Bambu surprise and the Taro lover. The Taro smoothie was okay, but was not finished. The Lychee smoothie was delicious. They use coconut milk. Not sweetened condensed coconut milk. So the flavors were very bland. The taro was so thick and wouldn’t mix in that it just clogged up the straw. It was not sweet at all. We expected to get a sweet, dessert like drink considering that the bulk of us ordered from the dessert menu. The only thing that was sweet was the Premium Lychee Smoothie. After spending $40, having 3 full drinks in the trash… I was very disheartened by lack of flavor/sweetness for an dessert and customer service. Definitely wishing I could get...

Bamboo Dessert & Drinks in Baltimore is a hidden gem for anyone with a sweet tooth or love for unique drinks! Although we didn’t try the food since we had already eaten, we stopped in for dessert and drinks — and we’re so glad we did. They have a great variety to choose from, including traditional Asian desserts and specialty drinks.

I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, and it was excellent — bold, rich, and full of strong, authentic flavor. We also tried the green pandan waffle, which was soft, slightly chewy, and delicious. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful.

The shop is located a bit off the main path if you’re walking from the pier — it’s on the other side of the building, so it may take a minute to find, but it’s absolutely worth it. Once you’re inside, the vibe is cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This spot is perfect whether you're looking for something refreshing, comforting, or just a place to relax for a bit. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back to try more from the menu next time. Highly recommend...

I recently ordered two milk teas (taro + coffee) from Bambu for pickup via Doordash, and I was shocked and very disappointed. Despite the 4.9 stars, both drinks tasted VERY watered down and lacked the flavor. There was still a lot of powder in my taro milk tea that the taste and texture ruined it, which makes me think that the drinks might not have been prepared properly or with much care.

This might have been a one-time thing since there was only one worker, who might have been new. However, it still left me feeling disappointed. I had been looking forward to these drinks given how highly rated Bambu is, so it was a huge letdown.
