This WWll war memorial was erected and paid for by money raised by local Baltimorians of polish descent. It is dedicated to the 22,000 Polish Army officers that were captured by the Russian forces, taken to the Katyn forest 250mi. from Poland , in Russia, murdered and buried in mass graves.
