This used to be one of my favorite date spots and sadly last night will be our last time dining there. We made a reservation for two and when asked for an occasion we noted it was my birthday. Once we got there, our reservation wasn't respected and we were told to wait at the indoor/outdoor bars -- neither of which had ANY available seating, so we were standing outside of the restaurant waiting to be called. It was by chance we walked into the outdoor bar area again out of sheer anxiety that they'd miss or forget about us, that we were finally seated. Once at the table, dinner service was actually pretty well -- some dishes took much longer than others, but that's fine as it was a busy night. We really aren't that hard to please as patrons. But then we were served a couple of drinks we hadn't ordered. They were smaller than the drinks we typically ordered, or those standard to most establishments so, thinking they were complimentary wines for the occasion, my partner mentioned my birthday to the waiter and he, seemingly in agreement, wished me a happy birthday. I took a sip of the wine before our original waitress stormed over, snatched them away hastily, and snapped, "Those weren't for you," without even making eye contact with me. Zero tact for a mistake on their part; we didn't get so much of a quick "sorry" or any sort of polite apology, and it left a bad taste in our mouths after an otherwise pleasant evening. We had no part in their mistake and were put in an uncomfortable and awkward position because of it. What were they going to do, take them back and dump them? Clean off the rims and re-serve them to the intended patrons? The implications were both incredibly distasteful, and then they had the nerve to circle back, act like nothing happened just moments prior, and ask if we were interested in desserts. In any case, I sincerely hope the restaurant revises protocol for how they address their OWN mistakes like these in such a way that doesn't embarrass or otherwise make their guests uncomfortable in the future, especially on special occasions like last night. However, they have enough money to where service gets to be an afterthought and losing a couple customers isn't a big deal, so I don't expect any action as a result. It's still a shame we won't be...

I bumped into the owner of the adjacent building and he was the one who told me where to enter, he mentioned it happens all the time. Something small their tech team should fix; maybe they need more than just one guy running all of Atlas groups social media— give that guy some help man.
Second, I stood at the hostess stand for a while till someone greeted me, there was a server who just said hi, and then when the hostess finally acknowledged my presence she really wasn’t very friendly and polite. It was just me, a seating for one for dinner.
I knew what I wanted as I looked at the menu before I came. I ordered the cowboy ribeye, medium and a bottle of sparkling water. The ribeye was cooked fine but for an $86 steak really lacked in flavor, and that’s not all.
A cowboy ribeye is a specific style of ribeye and should be cut from the whole bone, not just the sliver of a bone. Restaurants do this to cheat the customer into a high price for steak and give the appearance of a bone-in cut, but really it’s fake and really rubs me the wrong way, especially when I’m spending $100 for steak and water.
I’m not even sure it was truly prime and sure didn’t taste like it was aged for 45 days. Bottom line, a restaurant like this needs to get their menu right, if it’s not a true cowboy ribeye then, stop putting words on a menu just to sound cool and up-charge dumb young internet yuppies.
So, a $100 steak dinner had very little flavor and a poor interpretation of a cowboy ribeye.
On a side note: the waiter I did have was nice, but not really a hard job for an easy order.
My suggestion, either take off the cowboy part of the menu and cut the price by $20-25, because that’s more of a true value of that steak. Or, learn to cook a real cowboy ribeye and put some char and some flavor into it.
This is a case where the chef just didn’t put the right dish on the menu. Got to do better than...
Read moreWe hosted my mother’s 50th birthday lunch in Tagliata’s Private Dining Grotto Room in February 2025, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
The private dining space is located in a separate building adjacent to the main Tagliata restaurant, offering guests a sense of privacy and exclusivity. There’s even a dedicated entrance and elevator, which was a thoughtful touch for guests with accessibility needs.
The Private Dining Manager and their team were highly responsive and accommodating throughout the planning process. They promptly answered all our questions and worked closely with us to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day of the event.
The Grotto Room itself was a beautiful and inviting space—warm, elegant, and filled with natural light thanks to a large window. One standout detail was that there was no deposit required to reserve the room, which is incredibly rare these days.
We selected a delicious three-course meal from their group dining menu, and the staff allowed us to make a few substitutions to better suit our guests’ preferences. We also appreciated the option to have alcoholic beverages billed by consumption, allowing guests to pay individually rather than leaving us to sort out a large bar tab afterward.
Service during the event was outstanding. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, taking special care to accommodate guests with allergies and dietary restrictions. Meals were served promptly, and a dedicated bartender was provided for the room.
We were also allowed to bring in our own decorations and play our own music through the room’s sound system. Coat racks were provided so guests could hang up their coats, rather than draping them over the backs of their chairs—small but thoughtful touches that made the celebration feel truly personal.
All in all, Tagliata made this special occasion memorable and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend their private dining experience for anyone planning a celebration or...
