It's what we SHOULD expect from a decent coffeehouse! Gosh-darn good espresso, coffee and the charm that gives the Charm City it's nickname.
I recently re-discovered their flavor and sauce menu -- it's posted plain as day on their overhead menu, in "large friendly letters"!
Have you tried a Rose Latte? Or maybe Lavender? Almond? At the Daily Grind you can try these and about a dozen fun flavors =D
The Rose Latte has a very interesting unique taste and after taste experience. The after taste almost feels as if the taste "blossoms" afterwards.
They bring in the beans and freshly grind the beans themselves. You can pick up ground coffee to make at home too.
I'm mainly a latte drinker and have been trying their offerings. Thier espressos and Americano drinks are smooth.
They also make a "White Russian" coffee that's off-menu but everyone there seems to be trained on making them.
The flavor is balanced and feels just right. So, the coffee flavor has a chance to please before the caramel greets your taste buds.
It has It's own unique flavor, it isn't milk heavy as Dunkin lattes can be and it's not like Starbucks either. Price is higher than Dunkin. I'm willing to pay for the higher quality. Classic Quality vs Quantity decision: You could get a medium at Dunkins for the cost of a small Daily Grind latte.
The location is pleasing too, an excellent view of the waterfront. Rhey have a nice deck facing the riverside. Indoor dining is open again.
Service is professional. Wait time depends on when you arrive, there can be a long line.
It's a daytime coffeehouse so arrive before 5, that's when they close.
Check out their pictures on Google maps, I've been posting the latte art.
**Don't expect to get latte art; it depends on the busyness and the mood of the person making the drinks. It's a nice boon of going to a local coffee shop. **update: tips might help brighten everyone's mood. ;-P

Read moreMy partner & I love this place. We walked in today, went to the counter we were greeted by Joy who said hello & that she thought she knew what we wanted. I looked at her quizzically before asking how & what, to which she replied, the Ferrero Rocher iced latte with oat milk & that the only thing she didn’t know was the size. She told us that she always remembers the nice customers.
This level of customer care is the one of the top reasons we are returning customers! Sierra, the wonderful barista, even remembered that we always order the Ferrero Rocher iced latte with oat milk! It’s the little things. Evan always makes the perfect breakfast eats, no matter your preference. Ours being any bagel (because they are so tasty)soft & with cream cheese remind me of a New York CornerStore bagel.
I gave this place 5 stars because of the customer service. The lines on the weekends are long, be prepared to wait. Overall this is one of my favorite places to grab my morning dose of caffeine. It’s a vibe.
They should consider delivery since we live near Patterson Park & it’s getting cold. Anywho, thanks for making our experience so pleasant. And Happy...
Read moreI went to this location at about 1:30PM, Wednesday the 27. There were three employees present and from the getgo none of them seemed remotely interested in delivering quality customer service. Received snarky side eyes and just an overall drab demeanor towards my presence there as a customer placing an order. At one point it felt like i was a criminal for simply wanting to purchase a bagel, a drink, and inquiring about the muffins. Constant sighs, monotone voice, the works. There was no hospitality at all. I’ve gotten better service at Mcdonald’s lol. No one bothered to mention my food was ready, our hot chocolate took 8 minutes to be ready (mind you we were the only customers). Just an overall anxiety inducing environment. The food is impeccable but was quickly overshadowed by the sad & unwelcoming atmosphere the employees created. I would suggest to reverse these individuals in customer service etiquette. Unfortunately won’t be taking my business here again, and neither will my friends who reside in the area unless there’s a change...
