wow finally found a legit "hole in the wall" chinese place in Baltimore! ive been on the west coast for the past 10 years and there are few things they cant do, one of them is chinese take-out. So when coming back east as of September i couldnt wait to show my 2 cali native roommates what real chinese take out was all about! Unfortunately our 1st 2 experiences were lack luster and i think its because they chose the top "yelp rated" restaurants...honestly too boojie and nothing to remember. This time they let me pick and i found the unassuming corner joint and we couldnt find anything bad to say! Except "holy s**t this is what you're been talking about" and that statement echoed through the whole meal. From rib tips, cheese wontons, scallion pancakes, cheesesteak eggrolls, wonton soup, misc fried rice and noodle dishes not 1 negative word was to be found...do yourself a favor and give them a try! It seemed like a family run place like "mom was yelling orders to her husband and sons" lol! They were incredibly grateful for our business and as a former owner of a small restaurant you could tell they were truly appreciative that they could provide this particular experience to those willing to venture! thank yall so much, keep it up! we'll be back, probably once or twice...

Two dishes I don't personally recommend are their General Tsos Chicken and the Shrimp Toast. The chicken wasn't as flavorful as other places that I've tried. The shrimp toast was slightly overcooked, so it had an aftertaste of slightly burnt toast, although the shrimp portion was delicious.
While it doesn't stand out in any significant way, Golden Wok offers exactly what you are craving when you have a "Chinese food" mood. The prices are very...
