READ BEFORE COMING: TLDR; Super long wait time, average food at best, not cheap. Save yourself the effort and go elsewhere.
Wait Time: I waited 28 minutes for a Matar Paneer main and a Vegetable Pakora appetizer. It felt really long and I was given no expectations on length, pretty unacceptable given I was the only customer in the entire store and my order was not large.
Food: Fresh but excessively oily. I had a pool of oil forming at the top, and the cubes barely made up 1/4 of my entire dish. It was just sauce. My appetizer stained my container with grease when I was done. Portions were on par with what I would get anywhere else, not sure where people are saying that this is “generous”.
Price: It cost $16.85 which, for all the talk of this place being cheap, is really only marginally better than anywhere else with better food and wait time.
The worst part? The lady did not care to tell me that Amex was not accepted (nor was it posted anywhere) until after paying AND IT WENT THROUGH, then she asked me to pay again with a different card because “American Express doesn’t give enough money.” And she put the responsibility on ME to call Amex and cancel the transaction. She tried to be nice about it, but let’s be real here - that doesn’t change the situation. Great, so now I have homework to do because I can’t cancel it while the transaction is pending. So currently, I paid $32 for disappointing food and time I’ll never get back. I really came in excited to support a small business and try some authentic Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, I’m never coming back, and I’ll be warning people to avoid it. Please do better.
Pros: Food is made on the spot Local Large menu Not excessively priced
Cons: Oily food Very long wait time No seating (even just to wait for...

I will say it took about 45 minutes to get our food (three curries and some naan) which makes perfect sense considering how small an operation it is, and theyre probably getting a lot more traffic due to a recent article in the news about them.
There's no places to sit and wait, but Remington is a cute neighborhood with things to do so that doesnt bother me. I went to the nearby bookstore to kill time
Edit: I wish I can give them more than 5 stars. Every time I order from them its a better experience than the last. I used cash this time and the discount is so worth it. I'm pretty broke so serving 3 people with incredible for less than 30$ is impactful. The wait times keep improving too, so one of my only complaints from my first review isnt even that...
Read moreSo this week I tried Indian Tandoor. I did order Dal, Samosa(veg and meat one), naan, aloo paratha and paneer kulcha. So firstly daal, it taste like home and the quantity given the price(if you pay cash its less than 10 dollars) it was value for money. Samosa were fine. They can be better. Naan or any of there Tandoor items are must I would say. They take them out just freshly outoff tandoor and when i got the order it was still hot. Kulcha/Paneer Kulcha is again must, it is punjabi style stuffed bread and you can ask them to put aloo or panner in it. I prefer the second one. And again given the price 3. some dollars it was very good. Aloo paratha was fine, but again, much easier than making them at home and it was also tandoor style. You can get the tava style if you ask. All in all very...
