One-Eyed Mike's is an institution in the Fells Point area and the only bar specializing in Grand Marnier that I know of. They are currently going through a transition with new ownership so I'm assuming that is the reason why they had a very limited menu when we visited. I had the duck and my wife had the bravette steak. Unfortunately, my duck was extremely fatty and barely chewable. It was also $38 for two small cuts of meat on a shallow bed of lackluster mashed potatoes. My wife did enjoy her steak, and I wish, in retrospect, I would have ordered differently. The drinks were very good. The Perfect Storm is their flagship drink and worth a few rounds, but I liked their version of a Manhattan with Grand Marnier the best. Only one dessert was offered, a Grand Marnier Creme Brulee, which was satisfactory. Be prepared to spend some cash. Almost $200 for the two of us after a few drinks, appetizers, and entrées. If you are really in the mood to spend some cash, they have a 125-year-old Grand Marnier Quintessence, which you can taste for $300.00.

First time at this restaurant. Despite a few negative things we experienced this place is a hidden gem. We had a reservation for 7 and prior to our reservation we get a call from the restaurant letting us know that the chef and sous chef called out unexpectedly and that we may have to wait a little longer to get our food. We weren’t in any rush and really appreciated the heads up. Very rare that a restaurant would even think of doing that so that was a plus. We greeted instantly when we walked into this cozy, candlelit and intimate setting. We ordered and got our cocktails fairly quickly. Which were all deliciously made by the same guy who greeted us, bartender and our server. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. From the wedge salad, French onion soup to our mouthwatering burgers. I’m a huge fan of French onion soup but the restaurant’s AC was not working. It’s was a little warm in the restaurant but again the service and food was exceptional. I’ll definitely be back for sure!!

A small group of us came here for drinks and dinner… the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place has a really cool, historic vibe to it and we heard it’s haunted too. The concept is really intriguing here, you can buy a bottle of Grand Marnier and it’ll stay in that bar forever, until you drink it all. If you come back anytime, you can drink it for free or pay a couple of bucks if you want it mixed into a cocktail. They have thousands of bottles stocked here with people’s IDs on them. Their cocktail list is very cool as well… a couple of hits were their Caramel Old Fashioned and their Perfect Storm. Watching the bartender make the Caramel Old Fashioned is a treat as well! They have a very nice menu and it’s not “dive bar” type food either, the chef is a legit, French trained chef making amazing food. The items we tried we all very good. Crab cakes were outstanding and everything was made from fresh ingredients! Highly recommend stopping in to check them out!

We went on a whim just passing through Baltimore. As experienced eaters from Philly we were pleasantly surprised at the world class meal and drinks we received. Also the atmosphere is formal but divey so I would have felt comfortable in formal wear or a ripped up jean jacket.

Drinks are amazing. Perfect cocktails. The theme celebrates Grand Mariner as all bars should because it’s the best liquor on earth.

And the entrees were perfect. Served hot. The crab cakes were perfect as they should be in Baltimore because they’re an abomination and imitation anywhere else in the world. The crab pieces are big and whole sweet and succulent and the breading is only a compliment not a main feature.

The Brussels sprouts were hot temperature-wise, sweet, savory and salty as well as firm and not over cooked.

The duck was salty but in a way pork belly would be so very enjoyable. The fingerling potatoes were hot and firm too.

Lastly we loved that one waiter was taking care of the whole room as it was small and more wait staff would have over crowded the cosy dining room.

We loved every minute of this...

If you're looking to contract COVID19 in this 2nd wave, come here! There is no such thing as social distancing in this establishment and the staff will blatantly express their lack of concern for your well being if you object to them seating you within inches of another patron. The bar is kept in near total darkness so you are unable to see your food or drink. Also, if you sit in the bar, the walkway between tables and bar seating is only enough for a single body to fit through. The bar does not require patrons who get up from their table to wear a mask. I'm told the food is decent, I didn't get to eat the raw cold food that was served to me while my husband decided to just eat his and I waited for mine to come back. After several groups of patrons coming in for dinner stood right next to our table for several minutes because there was nowhere else for them to go while the waitress figured out where to seat them, I had had enough! I hope this restaurant isn't the source of an outbreak, but, I think it's the perfect setting. They don't care and are not following...
