Last weekend, my friends and I decided to celebrate a special occasion at one of Atlas Restaurant Group's renowned restaurants, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We chose Ouzo Bay in Baltimore, drawn by its reputation for exceptional Mediterranean cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, with beautifully arranged tables and soft lighting that created the perfect setting for our celebration. We were promptly seated at a lovely table with a stunning view of the harbor.
Our evening began with a selection of appetizers that were simply divine. The spanakopita was flaky and rich, bursting with flavors, while the octopus was perfectly tender and seasoned. The sommelier recommended a fantastic Greek wine that complemented our meal beautifully.
For the main course, I opted for the Branzino, which was grilled to perfection and served with a delightful lemon and herb dressing. My friends chose a variety of dishes, from the succulent lamb chops to the flavorful moussaka, and each plate was a masterpiece. The attention to detail and the freshness of the ingredients were evident in every bite.
Throughout the meal, our server was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed. The level of service was impeccable, striking the right balance between professionalism and friendliness.
As we savored our desserts—a decadent baklava and a creamy galaktoboureko—the manager stopped by our table to check on our experience. It was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel truly valued as guests.
By the end of the evening, we were all in agreement that this had been one of the best dining experiences we had ever had. Atlas Restaurant Group not only delivered on its promise of a premiere dining experience but exceeded our expectations in every way. We left Ouzo Bay with full hearts and even fuller stomachs, already planning our next visit to another Atlas property.

Read moreChoptank is another atlas property that is a total Bust. The food is subpar and the customer service is poor. The staff are a complete utter disgust and disappointment. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude behavior runs rampant in all of Atlas establishments. I called to report my first experience at Choptank and of course was met with resistance and excuses for inappropriate behavior from staff. The general manager Jordan is a part of the problem. I mean you are only good as your team. A waitress(Lexus) removed my fiancé's plate without asking if he was finished. He was not finished his meal when she removed the food. He asked lexus why did you take my food without asking me first. She replies " Its only 30 cents worth of coleslaw left and I took it you want it back" Her aggressive tone of voice and negative demeanor was not something I expected from such a supposedly elite group. Customer Service 101 never speak to a customer in such a manner. Lexus kept agitating the situation. she continued repeating snyde remarks to my fiance, in regards to the removed plate and even stated she wanted to get into a physical altercation with him. She then stated " I already threw it out you want it, you want me to give it out and give it back to you". Why would any server ask a customer do they want their food retrieved from the trash? I tried to explain this to Jordan he cut me off and basically condoned Lexus( the servers behavior), by offering excuses. He did not address the unprofessionalism, inappropriateness I encountered. Big red flag! Jordan is General manager which is a part of the problem. They hire anything off the street now days. Extensive customer service training is a must. I will tell everyone I know not to patronize this place. O...
Read moreLunch yesterday at the Loch Bar, Four Seasons/Baltimore for Mother's Day with a party of 4. Seated at an outdoor table on a very sunny and clear day. Within 5 minutes, we asked the staff to open the umbrella as it was too hot and bright. The staff advised that the umbrella was broken, as were the other 5 umbrellas near our table. We were relocated to another table where the umbrella worked. Throughout our meal, we watched staff seat people at tables where the umbrellas did not work, only to relocate these people as other diners left from tables that had umbrellas that worked. Upon leaving, I asked the Manager, a young man dressed in a very sharp royal blue suit, how much the valet parking costs. He said it was $20 but with Loch Bar validation it was $15. I gave him my valet parking ticket and he very politely validated it for me. I proceeded with my party to the valet stand to get our car. I gave the valet my ticket and $20, believing I was leaving a generous $5 tip. The valet advised that parking was $22 with a validated ticket. I told the valet that the Manager told me it was $15 with a validated ticket and he said, "Well, he's wrong." I asked another member of our party for a $5 bill, gave it to the valet, and left in our car. Our meal was ok. Very difficult to get water refills on such a warm day though. I normally eat at the Sip and Bite when I am in Baltimore. The parking is free just outside the door, the staff are always exceedingly friendly, and the burgers are just as good but the fries are much better than at the Loch Bar. I'll look forward to dining at the the Sip and Bite next week when...
