Shotti's Point Charm City — Restaurant in Baltimore

Unfortunately, I have to write this review after the inexcusable experience my husband and I had on his birthday. We recently moved to the neighborhood from Scottsdale, AZ and wanted to support a local restaurant in our neighborhood on a night out/birthday celebration. Let me first start off by saying the food we received that was without error was FANTASTIC, specifically the cheese tots. Some of the best we’ve had in the neighborhood. But as someone who has worked in the service industry the attitude and attentiveness of the staff was horrible.

We sat outside on said day, roughly 88° outside and received such subpar service that we only received one pitcher of water between me and my husband and asked staff repeatedly for refills, going as far as walking inside to the bar area to ask for water, to which we were being avoided and never helped.

We received our entrees, again asked for water which was never received, along with ranch dressing that was requested upon ordering my salad, and that was, surprise, never received.

Eventually, I told my husband to walk inside and request the check and to go box because I was thirsty and my order was still incomplete and I would rather walk home and eat my salad with dressing from my fridge and get water there than wait god only knows how long for service. He went inside to request the check and box and was AGAIN avoided by staff, but was finally helped AFTER 15 minutes.

We would have LOVED to have this be our go to spot in the neighborhood but unfortunately we will not be recommending this place to anyone or be visiting again...

Came in this past Saturday for a date and the place was packed, that's usually a good sign and sure enough it was. Came in around 7 o'clock and the bartenders made sure to say hello to us even though it was so busy for them. The one bartender, Lou, told me that there was a two top about to pay and then he could get us seated. Mike, the other bartender, and Lou told us about all the specials and new menu. We got sold on the blood orange spritzer and blueberry crush. EXCELLENT! Being the holiday we had to try the rueben eggrolls and we also split ahi poke nachos. Both were absolutely phenomenal. Never would have thought what I thought was a dive bar to look as good as it was and have possibly some of the best food I ever had. We were so full from the apps that we split the recommended Rosa Maria tacos. Easily top three tacos I have ever had by far. Will be coming back for the food alone. But I have to say I'd even come back just for the atmosphere and music alone. Everyone looked like they were having fun and enjoying themselves very much. Lou and Mike were absolutely fantastic. Even with how busy it was they were on top of our drinks and food nonstop. They looked like they were having a great time and talking with everyone and making sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. Lou tried to convince us to stay for karaoke that night but I had more planned out for the date but I think I can say the second date is going to be coming back for karaoke...
