I could not even believe what I experienced the night of June 29th 2023. My co-worker and I were doing a job in Bar Harbor and had accommodations down the street (with-in walking distance, we were NOT driving). I had had two drinks and was going to order one more for a nightcap before walking home.

I was already a little taken back by the bartenders attitude and the NOT subtle shots she was taking with another staff member named Red (I learned his name after she loudly summoned him over to the service well to do shots with her). She was visibly drunk by the time I ordered my last drink that she refused to make. We had been there from 9:00P to 10:30ish and were just chatting and keeping to ourselves. She became combative when I asked for one more drink and could barely explain (because SHE was drunk behind the bar) why she was refusing to make me another drink.

Interestingly, she cut a gentleman sitting next to us after one drink… he was just as perplexed as we were and asked for his check and left unimpressed with the entire situation.

It takes way more than just being able to make good cocktails in high volume atmospheres to be a...

The single greatest cocktail list from here to Portland in this state easily. Hands down boys. Whether your visiting this magnificent island for the first time and need a pain killer after a half mile walk became a 7 mile sojourn thorough Acadia National Park. Or a local like myself that has a night off and just needs a “grounds for divorce” or a spicy “tourista burracha a corner to post up and chill with friends and enjoy a craft cocktail. It’s notably one of the only late night (open till 1am) bars in Bar Harbor and a must visit for those of us who appreciate great cocktails and the most talented badass cadre of bartenders you’re lucky enough to find! I just took my friend there a few nights ago she had not been in 7-8 years. She did not remember what she used to drink. I guessed it: dirty water of course! We had one of the best nights of the summer season that night and it is thanks in large part to that little cocktail bar with the beer sign on...

You're going here for cocktails. Do they serve beer, yes..That's like ordering grocery store sushi in a land-locked state though.

If you want to see a professional mixologist/bartender/artist, go to the Cottage Street Pub. See Cassidy. Enjoy her professionalism.

Cassidy mixed up FANTASTIC cocktails for us Monday through Thursday (July 17-20) (yeah, you read that correctly, we went four nights in a row). Not only did she mix the cocktails, but she mixed up great tunes the entire time as well.

Read all that again, don't waste your time on beer here, get the cocktails.

Go Monday to Thursday. Hope you get Cassidy as your...

We stumbled upon this gem and came for before dinner drinks every night we were in Bar Harbor! It was the owners birthday the first night and she was so sweet and shared a birthday cake she had shipped in! If you are a craft cocktail person you have to go here. The menu on the right are there concoctions and every single one I tried I absolutely loved! We had a chance to meet two of the other bartenders and they were awesome as well. They do have fresh popcorn. S **Some of the photos people have posted on here don’t show the correct entrance. It’s right off the sidewalk - a small bar around 12-15 seats.

You wouldn’t guess this from the outside, but Cottage Street Pub had some of the best and unique cocktails I’ve ever had! My personal favorite was the “Rainbow Punch” which was a cocktail including Prosecco and sherbet ice cream. My husband loved their Thai tea cocktail and they also had a phenomenal cocoa cold brew cocktail. The prices were extremely affordable for how impressive the drinks were! Also, the vibe inside is fantastic and they also have complimentary popcorn. Definitely would come back here again!
