I came around 3:45 on a Saturday. They don’t close until 5pm. There was someone mopping. My walker and I struggle in the front door, she was right there, and did not offer to help.
She kept mopping in front of the area where I was needing to walk. She kept to her route and did not adjust to let customers through or anything. I am not steady on my feet and am very fragile so I like personal space. She worked her way around feet, around my walker…it was very stressful.
I finally, I thought, left the area where she was working and went to the table farthest to the back, where it looked like she had already been.
Moments later she came over and began mopping around me back there! I said “do you need to get under this table?” Wnd motioned that I would move. She said “no, no, you’re good,”. And began mopping under my table.
At this point I started moving. She said “you’re good!” I said “I came back here because I didn’t want people moving in my personal space, and now youre here too. “
This is rude. End of story.
I managed a cafe for a long time, and I never let my employees mop before closing, period, unless there was a spill. There was not a single wet floor sign. There was not a single ounce or respect given to people trying to walk, or to my clear anxiety of her mopping right next to my brittle boned body.
The muffin was dry. Had a total of maybe 5 raspberries.
It says there’s parking around back but it’s all reserved.
The one redeeming factor was the Harney and sons tea, which I love, but if I had known this would happen, I wouldn’t have come.
I hope a manager address this issue. It’s not okay, and a violation of law, because wet floor signs are required if you’re going to mop while actively serving customers. Not safe. ...
Read moreSo I came here with my husband because we wanted a place with good prices. The menu we saw was from a year ago. The prices were reasonable. So when we arrived here I was very disappointed to see not only did the menu change significantly so did the prices. It went from a fairly priced place to a more upscale priced cafe.
The croissant I purchased is a pistachio croissant and it tastes nothing like pistachio. The filling itself is not very sweet. It’s more of a kind of sour flavor with out a hint of pistachio.
My matcha latte tastes great. I love the matcha flavor and the presentation is wonderful. But the prices and flavor of this croissant was very disappointing. I might come back for coffee before I or we catch our boat back home. But I will not be going out of my way to come back here.
If you dont mind the prices and want to give their food a try go for it. I’m not sure about how others things taste. So I wouldn’t completely write this place off.
The atmosphere is very nice. And I don’t think you can go wrong with the coffee or...
Read moreThanks to a friend’s recommendation, I discovered this AMAZING local spot!
Everything is top notch, from food, to staff, to atmosphere! Not to mention the amazing selection of specialty coffees and house-made Croissant that they have😍 This has become my go-to study spot; I love coming here because everyone is so nice/welcoming and they have a nice little room that is quieter that all other spots in the café and it is perfect to focus on my work! It is also worth mentioning that the staff is always trying their best to keep the place clean; there is always someone walking around wiping tables and sweeping. And if u want to sit somewhere that needs a wipe, don’t hesitate to ask, they were happy to help when I asked if I could get the spot I wanted wiped! So, great vibes over all.
Highly Recommended!!🥰 Side note: if you want to avoid the rush-hour here, I would suggest coming after 11:30. The are always slammed (like a huge line around the dinig area!) in the first hours of the morning especially on weekends! (Shows their...
