Panda Express — Restaurant in Barrington Township

Service at this Panda Express was awful. I don't know if they're just lazy, lost or in limbo. They don't communicate with each other on orders and don't have their workers on a work time table. The lady that almost took my order was too busy with online orders and the 2 guys she had working the line and cashing you out were slow and lost. She had to help the 2 guys with both of their duties. If they were short handed she should've let the growing line behind me know that they were having difficulties. She handed off my order to one guy, he did a fair job of it but then got my order back logged, which I didn't know until the 2nd guy had me pay first and then handed me the bag. That's when I noticed it was light. I asked him, where is the rest of my order and that is when we both realized he had me pay someone else's order. He should've asked me if this is my order and advised me of the contents that he was about to ring up. He shouldn't have assumed the food in the bag in front of him was actually mine. I blame the manager for not being out there when the line was already getting longer to help out. Never going...

I love Panda, but this location to be avoided at all costs. Numerous times I observed them to cook mini-batches of food and giving lukewarm to go food at half the capacity cutting costs.

The final straw was my delivery order, where ordered items were completely missing (!), chopsticks requested not placed, premium shrimp was half empty at 4 cold broken pieces, and the clueless employee over the phone didn’t apologize and suggested that I drive to the location (after paying a full delivery fee and tips) to pick up what’s missing.

He refused to reimburse me over the phone (saying he just started his shift and had no idea who worked on my order even though I provided online order Id and receipt number), I asked the manager of the location to call me and left my name and phone - to never hear back. I got a refund through complaining online, but still haven’t heard anything.

Poor service, absolutely horrible unapologetic management, not ordering from this location again, despite my love for Panda.

COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT GO HERE TO EAT.

My family and I are completely appalled at the conditions of this location. We ate here on Saturday 4/30/22 at 2 pm in Hoffman Estates, IL. We were greeted fine but then the service at the cash register was confusing. The girl Viki did not know what she was doing and did not care either. We were looking for a table to sit down at but all of those were dirty because no one took the time to clean up the tables. Then my husband was eating his chicken and came across an undesirable piece (may have been undercooked) and then we threw all of our food away half eaten because the quality was just not there! We spent $45 to eat here for lunch. I spoke with Viki and Laney and she said she was the manager and they were short staffed and gave every excuse in the book as to why the restaurant was not clean and orderly and the food was just unacceptable!!
