This was a really bad experience. My brother and I came here for his birthday dinner. The waiter brought us some chips with this tiny little bowl of salsa. The chips were barely warm. They brought us our drinks in a Styrofoam cup from the very beginning of the meal. Most restaurants serve you in a plastic or glass cup until you are ready to leave, then box up your leftovers if you have any, and then offer you a to go cup.

The service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not that busy at all, but it still took over 20 minutes to get our food out. During the wait we ran out of salsa two or three times and were never approached by any staff to offer more salsa or more bowls. The staff seemed to be shuffling each table, like nobody was really assigned to a single table, they just all took turns with tasks. It was kind of awkward trying to understand everyone's role.

The food was terrible. I had the monterrey chicken, and it was cold and disgusting. The dish looked like it had been put in the microwave, not even kidding. The bell peppers were lukewarm, the seasoning was overdone on the meat, but underdone on the bell pepper. The refried beans had zero flavor. The rice was equally bad. My brother had the sour cream chicken enchiladas. They were very bland. The cheese wasn't melted very well, the plate was hot but the food wasn't, which leads me to belive it, too was microwaved.

We did eat all our food because we were in fact hungry, but we got out of there as quick as we could. We will...

I came in with my husband, our newly one year old and our 9yo son. We didn't see the server often and the food was really nothing spectacular. It was okay. My son got a kids plate, we got the 1yo some avocado on the side and the chicken nuggets while my husband had the tamale plate. I had the flautas. We got a queso as well although it was half full of beans/meat mix. The large is 6-8oz. The waitress came for our order and to deliver our food. When it was time to pay our tab it was sitting at nearly $80.00. We all had water except my husband had soda, no refills. She brought only a payment terminal, no paper receipt or break down. I tipped 20% although it was out of courtesy not due to good food or service. My husband had to go out of his way to get a receipt copy only to discover that we were also charged a service fee on top of everything else.

Scam artists. Take what you can get now being dishonest but know that you will eventually have to close your doors. I will never return. I hope it was worth the...

I almost never leave negative reviews yet this place earned it. We called in a simple order of take out breakfast tacos on corn tortillas. They took the order and informed us it would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes later and gave our name and then waited. An additional 15 minutes went by and we asked about the order. We were then told they had to remake the order because they put them on flour tortillas. We said ok and waited another 20 minutes. These are breakfast tacos. They have 4 ingredients and take 5 minutes to make, yet we're now like 40 minutes into this process. Finally a lady brings out our order and then chastised my lady because the kitchen got upset they had to remake the tacos correctly and scolded us for not being clear when we ordered. On the phone while ordering I very clearly told the gentleman who took the order that we wanted all corn tortillas. So instead of acknowledging the mistake and providing a quick fix they spent half an hour arguing internally and then blaming...

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch on a Tuesday. It is spacious with high ceilings and wooden floors in the interior, and with covid-19 the tables are separated nicely. We enjoyed the chips and salsa... I felt the salsa was just the right amount of heat and quite tasty. Service was attentive, and our meal was delicious. My wife had two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans and I enjoyed a beef fajita salad. We also had a side of guacamole. My wife felt that the cheese enchiladas were very good, which is High Praise! We felt that the guacamole was delicious, and my fajita salad was as well. Overall I would recommend this for someone looking for a sit-down restaurant that serves good quality Tex Mex food in the Bastrop area. Parking is limited to on-street parking. Our total bill for our meal including two softdrinks was $32.45 before tip.

Ordered a medium rare steak and I got well done. I usually don't return food, even if it's wrong, but this was so dry and so wrong. A server kindly took it back and brought me another steak. This time the steak looked a little bigger, so not sure what size I was supposed to get... When I sliced into it, it was completely raw and barely cooked on the outside. I took a bite and it was COLD. I had enough of messed of food and did not want to complain again so I just took the steak home to cook it myself later. Which still didn't taste good. It had a weird flavor. I heard so many good things about this place and wanted to enjoy it, but I will not be returning. Our server rarely checked on us, too. 2 stars because another server tried to help.

After traveling all day, I really wanted to like this place, but it was only ok. My husband's fajitas were not hot and the beans were salty. My tortilla soup was good but also very salty. Kid's said their food was ok. Waited over 15 minutes for a margarita, granted I asked for some jalapeno in it, but didn't think it would take that long to cut one up. After waiting that long, it wasn't even that great, it tastes like salty jalapeno lemonade. Chips n salsa was good. I think our biggest mistake was coming in one hour before closing.
