Daddio's is simply the best home town diner offering the most amazing breakfasts and lunches that you can ask for. This place is literally about as "at home as you can get." They have consistently been ranked #1 breakfast spot in the Western Suburbs, I would go further and say #1 breakfast spot in the Midwest. Their lunches and dinners are equally #1. The omelettes here are exceptionally delicious, including the "California Dreaming Omelette" which includes avocado, red and green onions, cilantro, cheddar, and green peppers, and salsa. However many modifications you want, this staff is excited to make each and every meal special for their customers that they love. Scott Beltran and Candice always greet you with a smile and are excited and thrilled to see every customer happy. Scott has had a huge impact on Batavia and has been so incredibly kind to my family over the years. He and Candice are just amazing human beings who care deeply about the community and about each and every customer. During the pandemic it has been Scott and Candice's upmost goal to keep the staff and the customers safe. They have mandated and simply enforced masks all throughout and they comply 100 percent with state restrictions, which right now is take-out only. Bataiva-we must support the fantastic diners that we love and the ones like Daddio's who are following the rules should not be hurt by the neighbors like Brianna's who across the street are not following the rules to keep customers and staff safe. We want to advance to dine in again a return to normal life, but we have a hurdle to jump before, we must follow the course to be safe. Take out only is tough, but as Scott and Candice passionately state-we must get to the other side and eradicate the Covid surge and get the numbers down so dining inside opens again and we can all be safe dining together per the Governor’s mandate. The fact that a breakfast spot-Brianna's across the street flaunts all Covid restrictions (I have seen masks not worn and crowded dine-in still take place, violating state mandate) is not fair. We will get to the other side of this Batavia and we will dine-in again at Daddio's and the way Scott and Candice see it-this will be soon and will be a celebration..in a few weeks/months. We will get there, but we need our favorite restaurants and diners to hang on during these tough times when they are trying to follow the rules. Why can't it be an equal playing field? Everyone in Batavia should offer carry-out only right now, one place should be punished while 8 others flaunt Covid restrictions. Our favorites- amazing establishments like Scott and Candice's Daddio's and another prime example-El Taco Grande across the river that are following the rules and are being punished because neighbors (mostly water holes/bars) in the neighborhood, refuse to comply. Even the pizza bar next door to Scott's restaurant, if you come to pick up a pizza openly flaunts the newest dine-in restrictions and has staff not wearing masks, including multiple others- the two bars on Wilson ST have employees not wear masks and continue dine-in operations that are hurting the ones that comply like Scott and Candice. Folks if you want to support an amazing local business that offers some of the best breakfast and lunch selections and has tremendous service-just continue to support Scott and Candice via take-out. Support Daddio's and support El Taco Grande for take-out!! Sadly, there are multiple eateries/pizza spots/bars in Batavia that are vehemently opposed to mandating masks (are flaunting pandemic restrictions which keep everyone safe) and are still staying open for indoor dining which ultimately hurts and punishes amazing establishments like Daddio's who we all in Batavia love. Again-Scott and Candice (and El Taco across the river) are just following the science and following the rules to keep our community safe. Phenomenal regular spot for us. Our favorite diner. Candice and Scott love their customers!! -AJ...
Read moreFood was delicious, no doubt, place nice and cozy. Me and my husband moved to Batavia 3 years ago and now that we really know we want to stay in Batavia we want to know more people and kind of get involved with the community. But I just gave 2 start on service, just because they made me feel like a theft, my husband paid the bill and I really got distracted with a bolting board to donate and I asked the lady in register about it and everything was fine into I walked out of the restaurant, She literally ran after me just to ask what was wrong, because I didn't give her a tip, I understand that most people working in restaurant don't get pay much and leave of tips, but they way she came to me, made me feel like I just got off without paying and the outside tables were full, no one kind of know us around here, so they could think we just walked out. I actually had her tip in my hands, but I just got distracted with the donation board and forgot to give it to her. But my point is that it's my first time in the restaurant and if is mandatory to give tip, make it clear in the bill and is ok, but if is optional or what about if a customer just have enough to eat??? Still my intention from the beginning was give he a tip, but it looks bad running after a new customer just to practically demand a tip when we had to call her for coffee, she wasn't really efficient with the service in general to act so money hunger. It's sad cause I really like the place and the food, actually I told my husband will be nice to go every Friday cause I work nights and is the only day I really see him. But her last...
Read moreWhen I was a young child I hated spagettios, why you ask? Oh I'll tell you. Once on a stormy night, a fat fat black man rang my doorbell. The raindrops racing down his rigid brow like racehorses and the little guys that sit upon them. As he stepped across the hearth onto the warm hardwood floors, he shook loose some precariously raindrops down to the lower parts of the world. He removed his tattered, yet expensive overcoat and with the motions of a man from time forgotten gently placed it on the coat rack that I don't have. As he turned around to the warm tungsten glow of my fourier, I noticed how hard his nipples were. The sudden insight startled me. So I moved swiftly back to the kitchen where my cooling but not yet room temperature spagettios were still awaiting my firm embracement. But suddenly I felt a warmth on my shoulder. It was the mans..... Firm, loving yet stern member. I b lined straight to the spagettios, which was the only comfort I have ever known, but when I got there his wholesome manhood was waiting for me, submerged, in the depths of the spagettios. One thing led to another and I ended up eating the spagettios. I slipped the man some cab money for the ride home. As he pulls on his overcoat and a moment before he closes the door shut he says...
