Let me start by saying the food was delicious. We had no problem with the food. It was that absolutely ABHORRENT service that this review is about. I do want to note it is with a particular server not the entire staff, everyone else was perfectly nice. Our server was a black woman with long braids with shells and little gold pieces twisted into them. She never gave us her name so sorry. She started out by literally just dropping the menus on the table moving to the side and giving me a death glare. After a few moments I realized this freaking woman wasn’t about to ask my order or say anything for that matter so I told her what I wanted. She then rolled her eyes and walked off. 10 minutes later she comes back stands in front of my boyfriend and says “You gunna order?” Keep in mind this is frist thing out of her mouth to us so far. She confirms his order, repeats my order to me and walks off. Another 10 minutes later his food arrives. Still no drinks. 5 minutes pass, and we ask her for our drinks, which she takes another several minutes to bring. Finally my single waffle arrives ( he ordered the Allstar ) and she drops butter and leaves. After 5 minutes of waiting and not being able to find her as she’s in the back or ignoring our attempts to catch her attention, (keeping in mind we’ve now had a waffle on the table for at least 10 minutes) we finally ask another staff member for syrup who immediately apologized and brought it to us. The check was the only thing she brought quickly. Needless to say she received No tip. That was literally one of the worst services experiences of my life. I’ve been a server, I know what it’s like. My boyfriend and I always tip well but that was awful. The resturant was busy but this woman was not. Her every movement was completely glacially slow and will a rotten attitude. Despite the food, we will Not...
Read moreHorrible customer service and people skills. I went to this location one night with two friends. When we walked in, we were greeted with annoyed faces and attitudes instead of a "Welcome to Waffle House". We shrugged it off because we know that WH isn't the best with friendliness. We then proceeded to look for a table, but every table was either occupied or still completely dirty. Other people ahead of us were obviously still waiting for a table also. After standing for at least 10 minutes, one of the unfriendly waitresses asked if we wanted to dine in. We said yes and she cleaned off a table. We then sat at our booth for about 25 minutes without any recognition from anyone. All 3 waitresses passed by us numerous times without even speaking. They only looked at us, noticing that we didn't have utensils or drinks. We continued to wait patiently. After another 10 minutes passed, a group of young Caucasian adults come in and sit at the booth in front of us. Within 10 minutes, an older Caucasian waitress approached them and took their drink orders. I was infuriated and told my friends we had to leave. I cannot tolerate being discriminated against so blatantly. This same waitress passed us up countless times, but she swooped on to wait on the other table without hesitation. It is a shame that it's 2017 and the color of your skin still gets you ignored. I refuse to support an establishment like this. I understand that people may get busy and without a rotation system for waiters it's hard to see who may be next. However, this was NOT the case. There was a significant time gap between our table and the other table. It was disrespectful and no one should be subjected to that kind of mistreatment. After this ordeal, I'm reluctant to try another WH...
Read moreLet me start by saying I order at this restaurant all the time. Today I ordered a a chicken hash brown bowl add sausage gravy. When I arrived to pick up my order and the server handed it to me as if it was perfectly fine. I asked if there was silverware in the bag and she stated that they were out of silverware and I responded that it was fine. I then exited the restaurant. When I got to my car, I noticed that there was no gravy. I entered the restaurant and informed them of the missing gravy. They then replied that they were out of gravy. I requested a refund and the server rudely let me know that gravy was only fifty cents. I stated that I would like a refund for the entire hash brown bowl because I could not eat it without the gravy. The grill cook then yelled “you have to go online!” Not once did they offer to make gravy, or let me know a time frame until they would have some. Nor did they offer any alternative. I asked her how long until they would have gravy and she informed me that it would be an hour or longer because she was too busy to make gravy. I asked to speak with a manager and the grill cook stated that she was the shift supervisor and that there was nothing she could do. I was very disappointed. I’ve been eating at this waffle house since 2013 and this is the worst service I have ever experienced while getting...
