MELTY — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Heyyy Yall, okay sooooo We come here weekly, thankful we’re able to do that however the food is 12/10! Hubby normally gets the 10pcs wings combo half spicy bbq/buffalo… he mix the range and bbq together for an awesome dip! I usually get the cheeseburger combo with fries, I drizzle spicy bbq and ranch over mines. My fries taste better than his, lol. Listen, these ppl not only know how to cook but they’re flavoring is top tier! MELTY, we appreciate you loads. One thing I must point out, please work on speed of service if it’s possible. Your building AND bathrooms are cleannn, thank youuu. Please also, get your workers to be on the same page as far as consistency… your morning crew is impeccable… that evening crew, well SOME of your evening crew can literally run your great brand DOWN and quickly if you don’t make a few changes. Example, answering your business phone regularly and or not keeping your line tied with ppl holding, another big one having your employees eat in the designated work area! If the young man with nice colored eyes is the owner or the son of the owner, make him stand on the same stands as your morning manager …. She’s firm, about the business and polite, and she doesn’t waste time. Thank you. I pray I see Melty closer to North Baton Rouge. You guys have something grand here. Oh, can you add beacon to the menu??! 🙏😅🫶 this comes from a humble and respectful place, I’d like to see Melty...

I live basically across the street and have been waiting for this place to open. One car ahead of me in the drive-thru and it took about 10 min for them to move forward. I ordered the steak pasta and tenders/fries. Fries are amazing. Tenders were fine. Pasta is great, steak not so much. I wanted to get a burger but they are $10 which seems steep for this location. Pasta is $13 and kids meal is $6 (has a lot of food tho). Took a total of 20 min to get the food from the time entering the drive-thru and there was hardly anyone in the place. Management was hovering over the cashier who read my order back incorrectly. Everything felt enh to have just opened, and it looks like the manager gave the first review on here himself to pump up the 5 stars. Not sure how long they'll last at this location.

Edit - went back on a Friday night to try other menu items, see if the time served improved, and the week of their opening, they've closed down their drive-thru saying it's a soft opening? That makes no sense. And I most definitely am not going to go inside in that part of town/at that corner. Bring back the drive-thru.

Another edit - their menu prices on delivery apps (for pickup) and the text menu here on google don't match their pictured menu prices. I.e. pasta should be $13 and it's going for $17 to pickup with ubereats and Postmates.

Most google reviews here appear to be fake, just look...

I went to Melty about 1:30 am. This was my first visit. The parking lot was nice and clean. The lighting was bright and welcoming. I ordered from the drive-thru. I was a little put off that there were only 5 wings to an order instead of the traditional 6, but turns out they were big, juicy wings. No need for 6. I ordered lemon pepper wings and cheese fries. He offered me a combo for only 30 cents' difference "If that will make you happy."

The order of the guy in front of me took a bit, but mine came out lightning fast. I asked for ranch and ketchup, which he said were already in the bag, but he would give me an extra ranch, "If that will make you happy." I told him i could be happy without an extra. As I drove away, the server said, "See you tomorrow!" Smooth...very smooth.

I had one ranch in the bag, but no ketchup. And as it turned out, a second ranch dressing WOULD have made me happy because it was really good ranch. The cheese fries were covered in cheese sauce, so I really did not miss the ketchup. 10/10.

I wish I never stopped there because there are lots of things there to crave. The Philly cheesesteak sandwiches smelled SO good. I will have to try one of those next time. See you tomorrow...maybe. Highly recommend...
