I used to love LJS. They have become a place with mediocre food and very little interest in customer service. The food is a little pricey, but when it was good, I wasn’t deterred by the price. Recently, the wait is ridiculous- yesterday over 20 minutes, and the quality of food is lacking to the point it is almost inedible. The real kicker for me, though, was the fact that I ordered $40 worth of food: fish, chicken, crab cakes, and hush puppies. They asked about sauces, and I knew I was taking this to a family that uses a lot of sauce for everything. I asked for 10 each of the cocktail, tarter and vinegar. They will use vinegar on everything, and a mix of the others on most - including the hush puppies. In total there were 20 pieces that sauce would go on. The very pleasant order taker said she would have to ask the manager if she could give me that much sauce, and then said, no, I could only have 18 packets. I was completely blown away! First, why would you ask if I could have sauce for food I am ordering from you? And second, why would you say I couldn’t even have enough to cover everything I was getting? When my bill for fast food was more than $40? In the end they gave me 9 of each sauce, and we used it all. But the idea that you would treat your customers like that was a final straw for me. I won’t go back. In honesty, had my husband not been holding me in check, I would have canceled my ordered, gone on to Red Lobster, paid a little more and had...
Read moreIt's was 730. I understand that when you close at 8. But when I customer orders food, they expect fresh food rite? Now, let me tell you what I got. I ordered the seafood platter with an extra fish, double coleslaw large root beer. I received my meal promptly. First things first, open the box, and the presentation was not good.I noticed my extra fish was missing.I went to the counter and showed my receipt and told the young lady I didn't get my extra fish. Her reply was it'll be ready in 2 minutes we have orders going in and yours is in there and I'll bring it to you. So I ate my meal or tried. The shrimp was mediocre. The fish now was like 2 pieces of card board no more like greasy boot leather. The coleslaw slaw was very cold and fresh, as well as the hush puppies. There were drive-thru orders being made as well as a doos dash meal. Both come and go, still no fish. At this point, I was done wasting anymore time waiting or a dollar something. So google review is best. As I leave, I remind the young lady I never received my extra fish. She just smiled waved, and ok, have a great day. The Worst long john silver ever ever. Bathrooms dirty...
Read moreThe food is always great and that's is why this has been my favorite ljs location to visit. That said today's visit was a disappointment, burned 5 minutes of my lunch break at the drive thru speaker waiting to place an order as I can hear the poor employee inside having to work the window and front counter by herself. It was at this time I realized I wasn't going to get food today within my 30 minute lunch time so I had to carefully back out of the drive thru since they trap you in line with a concrete curb. Management needs to step up and get the employees they do have some help before they lose them. And I know it doesn't have to be like this the Jackson location I'm usually through the drive thru in less than 5 minutes 10 tops if they need to make something fresh, but their quality is extremely inconsistent where Battle Creek the quality is always top notch it's the wait time that is...
