Updated Review: I’m updating my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. A representative from Pita reached out to address my concerns and took the time to explain how they plan to learn from this experience. They also provided a clear action plan for improvement, which I really appreciated. It’s refreshing to see a company that genuinely values customer feedback and is committed to making things right. This level of care and responsiveness sets Pita apart from many businesses today.
Original Review: I was excited to see a Pita Mediterranean location in Florida since I’ve enjoyed several of their Georgia locations. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations. My order was initially incorrect, though the gentleman working there did fix it promptly, which I appreciated. However, the chicken shawarma was extremely dry and lacked flavor, and the rice was disappointing—about 25% of it consisted of hard, overcooked bits from the bottom of the pot. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and did not live up to the quality I’ve come to expect from their...
Read moreUpdate - Pita corporate and I have been in contact. They have issued me a refund for my purchase and credit towards a future visit.
Two out of the three pitas I ordered were made incorrectly. One was specifically marked for a dairy allergy—and yet it was made with tzatziki sauce. This is not a minor mistake. This is dangerous, careless, and shows a complete lack of regard for customer safety.
When I returned to the store to address this, the staff member I spoke to (short red hair, wearing AirPods) couldn’t have cared less. All she said was, “I didn’t make this food.” That response is unacceptable. It did come from your restaurant, and that dismissive attitude made an already bad situation even worse.
This level of negligence toward food allergies is completely unacceptable and makes it clear I cannot trust Pita with my family’s safety. On top of that, the rudeness of your employee was appalling and frankly enough to make me never return. I live locally and have been a number of times but after tonight, I...
Read moreI've been here numerous times. I always end up ordering the gyro platter with seasoned rice. I usually forgo the pita bread. The gyro meat is seasoned well. I wish the meat was cut a little thicker for my taste, but it is very tasty.
The seasoned rice is fantastic and has a nice lime flavor to it. I love that they rinse the rice before cooking so that it isn't sticky and doesn't clump together. The tziziki sauce ties everything together.
The people who work here are incredibly friendly, and plasticware is individually wrapped to ensure cleanliness. The place is spotless.
I look forward when I have to visit my stores in the area as I know where I'm eating lunch.
Update: I just left here and asked if I could get the meat cut a little thicker. They were very accommodating with the request and the plate was covered with food. One of these days I'll remember to take photos for these reviews! Thank you to the...
