Disclaimer: I am not one to write negative reviews due to understanding how that affects people’s livelihood and usually try to find positive/enjoyable things but this place took the cake (no pun intended)
My family and I went to eat at this dessert “experience” after seeing it on Instagram/tik tok and us being fans of desserts. The theme of the place look nice but nothing to cry home about, it was just a bunch of pretty looking chandeliers/lights. As we approach the waiter, we asked what did we do as it was our first time. The waiter responded with “well, I can sit you down with some waters or you can just order to go”. This took us back but thought maybe it was just a weird delivery. He then takes us to our table and brings plastic to-go water cups (again odd but we just ignored it even if he forgot to bring us straws and had to remind him twice to bring them). He brings our menus and we are shocked at the very lackluster variety and the prices. They were charging $10 for 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and some sprinkles for kids?! Since people were raving about the place and it had good reviews we thought that maybe the flavor was going to be mind blowing. After waiting 15 minutes for our waiter to come back (there were only 4 tables seated at the restaurant) he finally took our order. I ordered the farmer’s favorite which was a carrot cake with 2 scoops of ice cream for $20 and my wife ordered the Nutella crepe with ice cream for $22. Really high prices and comparable to a meal price anywhere else but we though that maybe the presentation or “experience” was going to be worth it. Spoiler: it wasn’t.
While they were quick to bring the desserts, it didn’t feel like anything special. It felt like overpriced/overhyped dessert that you could definitely get somewhere else at a better price and better quality/flavor. If the previous signs were not enough, as my family and it are eating our desserts, the waiter comes to our tables to ask if we want our receipt? I am literally with a spoonful in hand, there’s no line for this restaurant and you want me to pay for my food already?! And not only that, the same server took an order from the table beside us who had a PEANUT ALLERGY and brought the desserts and didn’t know which one had no nuts?? Not only is he not delivering to the presumed “experience” he is potential putting people’s live in danger. Just because you are by Disney property doesn’t mean that you can charge premium prices for average desserts. It’s called a dessert experience but what was the experience? Getting ripped off? Having a waiter that doesn’t have any experience serving people whatsoever? Paying premium price for dessert I could just go buy at any grocery store? I am dumbfounded that people enjoyed and gave good reviews for this place. Never will I come to this establishment and if they wish to be successful, they need a complete 180...
Read moreI could not be more disappointed in this "Dessert Experience". The only saving grace was our server - Vicki. I give her 5 stars for HER service.
The desserts were served room temperature at best. We ordered the brownie Carmel/chocolate vanilla ice cream dessert. Granted my expectations were High. Why not - it says it in the name. I substituted the brownie for a chocolate chip cookie. They had other desserts in the section with this option so I didn't think it would be a problem. The cookie was room temp. argh.... ice cream was good - not exceptional - the sauces were sparsely applied. The cookie should have been HOT and melty with plenty of sauce to accommodate the full size dinner plate. And the cookie was NOT freshly made. When we asked about it (later) we were told the cookies were stored in the refrigerator and then heated up for the dessert. What?! We didn't finish it.
The apple crepe with vanilla ice cream - equally disappointing. Think of the canned apple topping - room temp on top of crepe that was not freshly made and at room temp. Didn't finish it.
The place is unreasonably priced. However, I would pay it occasionally for an "experience" like no other. Our two desserts where $34 before tip. I will never come back to this place ever. No redeeming qualities, except the waiter we had.
We complained and the manager told our waiter that we could expect the dessert not to be piping hot because the ice cream would cool it down. I asked the waiter to send over the management because quite frankly this explanation - makes the customer look stupid! Really, as if we had never had a HOT brownie fudge sundae because its just not possible (eyeroll).
The manager came over and she proceeded to give us the same explanation. I asked that she not give that as a "reason" so ridiculous. Instead, she doubled down. Telling us the same reason multi times. We were offered a friends and family discount which amounted to about 10%. Thanks so much for paying for the tax.
Don't go here for the "experience"... and I would highly recommend you...
Read moreWe showed up at 9:30 at night. Family of 8 arrived at the same time and walked in B.R. Ice cream few doors down. Wife and I arrive at White Rabbit. We were greeted at the door after 5 min of waiting. Crowd was low. Four servers on the floor behind the counter. We were sat at the table. 15 minutes go by after being sat. No one showed up. There were 5 tables that had 2 tops and one 3 top. The fact that all the servers disappeared in the back but the Manager in all black and the one server covering the counter after we sat?!?! Was it Mas break time? Literally the staff disappeared like Exodus took place in the desert restaurant. After sitting there I did not give it one minute more of my time. I also must point out. How in the hell do you miss the lipstick after cleaning utensils? See picture. The dishwasher needs to be educated on how to clean dishes by management. Let alone the servers check as a second look over before putting on the counter. Again. See the pic. So much for that $5.00 coupon to entice new customers to come in. You won't see me or my wife there ever again. If you want lousy service. Show up and enjoy. What put the icing on the cake. We walked outside and that family of 8 was almost done with their ice cream. Each of them had a scoop. Should have went to B.R. instead. Truth be told. I had more fun at Publix down the street getting ice cream and toppings for far less than what this place charges for deserts with better service from the cashier. I know for a week I will have Ice cream. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere. I hope the owner gets to read this. If you don't believe me. Play back the recorded camera system you have. Video does not lie. A dead restaurant that is not busy should have way better service than this. If I had a good time this post would...
