Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Beaufort

Pretty good spot. Usually busy right before closing. Service is pretty quick. They have stamp cards if you ask for one. They will stamp it every time you come. If you spend a lot of money they will stamp it more than once. Once you fill up your stamp card you get a free ice cream. They do ice cream cakes if you call in advance. They make all the ice cream they sell themselves. They offer military discount amongst other discounts. On Thursdays you get half off banana splits if you bring your own banana. They have toppings to put on top of ice cream if you choose. If you tell them beforehand they will arrange your scoops so that you can put a lid on top if you are driving. When traveling through Beaufort, we often stop to enjoy some premium ice cream from Bruster's. Bruster's offers several varieties of ice cream and the selections are always changing. So, it's always interesting to see what's on their menu on any given day. Usually I find a flavor that I haven't tried before. All of the ice creams that I have eaten from Bruster's are full of flavor and very creamy. I have never been disappointed with the quality of the product. In fact, I like Bruster's so much that I have driven an hour from Hilton Head Island to Beaufort with the sole purpose of enjoying a couple scoops from Bruster's! I did a shocking thing! I went to Brusters at 2:30 on a Wednesday afternoon(cheating on my diet), but it turned out to be a good decision. Instead of getting my usual greeting of a straight mouth with a head cocked to the side, I got a warm, friendly, SMILING server with outstanding customer service skills and knowledge! She said that my butter pecan ice cream had just finished being made 15 minutes ago, and that their ice cream has 23% more butter fat in it, making it creamier and more flavorful than Haagen-Dazs or Breyers. She spoke with the same pride I do when I tell others about Bruster's... only this time the customer service matched the ice cream....
