Evergreens — Restaurant in Beaverton

I haven’t had a chance to try their food, but I was attempting on picking up an Uber Eats order for a customer on a Friday night. Apparently the restaurant closes at 730pm. That’s fine and everything, but I just go where Uber Eats tells me to go and when. It’s not my fault that an order came in so close to closing time. I walked in the unlocked doors at 737pm. The girl at the front told me they were closed and the lights were off so I thought that it was strange that the front door was unlocked. The girl went to make the order for me anyways because I was just informing her that I was told to go where and when and if the order was still there because they had literally just closed I could just grab it, but apparently it wasn’t there. I asked if the order had came thru at all because I was already having a terrible night with orders being wrong for other customers. So the girl went to make the salad order since it had already been processed. All of a sudden I hear a woman literally YELLING from their back area that “We are closed, it’s not our fault that we’re closed and the order isn’t available anymore” etc etc etc. she is just yelling. The girl said “Well try telling them that” Them referring to me who was waiting near the entrance. The loud woman came storming out of their back area just staring daggers at me and YELLED again directly at me that they were closed and all orders are thrown out that haven’t been picked up at closing time. You mean to tell me that I received the order at about 715ish approximately because I was literally down the block picking up a different order and then went to Evergreens to pick up their order, that in the approximately 10-15 minutes MAX that it took me to walk inside the restaurant that you had prepared a fresh made to order salad, waited TOPS 10 min before deciding the order was abandoned and just threw it away and want to literally scream at someone who is just doing their job?? How long has that person been in customer service? That was my very first impression of this restaurant and you have an employee yelling at a delivery driver who walked into an unlocked building 7 minutes after closing time to pick up an order that came in 10 minutes prior to closing. How is that my fault? That was no way to talk to a human being, let alone someone who is just trying to make extra cash. I do not appreciate being yelled at, and I hope you learn something from this review. I have been a frequent customer ever since this location opened. I have always loved the quick and easy healthy food option on the go. Recently their customer service has been getting worse and worse (with the exception of a few awesome employees). There are a few ladies here who are so rude when I try to order for my toddler who has food allergies and do not allow me to make any substitutions for myself and blame it on the menu change. I offer to pay more, although their prices are already high, just so I can get the modifications I need for my personal dietary issues and my daughter’s allergies. The managers (women, not the male manager) will talk over employees making my bowl to make sure that they are not making any exceptions for me. They also take a tone with customers that make it uncomfortable to even ask for anything. The way it is set up, it looks like it would be an easy ordering system (like Mod Pizza or Chipotle), but they are driving customers away by making it quite difficult instead.

This place really has exceeded my expectations. As we arrived the place was very clean and upbeat. They are setup similar to a chipotle or subway as they make your salad as you go. The staff was very friendly and patient as I stumbled through ordering as this was my first visit. The selection of things to add to your salad was great and they seemed to have a little bit of something for everyone. All of the ingredients were FRESH and they didn't skimp on anything. I like how they also mix your salad in a large bowl before backing it up which makes it much easier to eat than trying to mix it yourself on a small plate or bowl. After checking out we sat out on their designated tables out front. My salad was just as good as it looked! I ended this visit very satisfied!
