UPDATES: hi Kim, what you said was not true. Do you have a video camera in your restaurant? You should check the monitoring records. The truth is I immediately noticed your waitress that I used the unused stainless chopsticks from another table for my hair. Either the waitress nor you told me I could not use the chopsticks during my entire meal time. You did NOT offer me either hair tie or wooden chopsticks as you said. You did NOT have any conversation about the stainless chopstick with me until I asked to pay my bill at the end of my meal.
If you offer me a hair tie or a wooden chopstick I don’t see why I have to refuse to use it. All I need is to put hair up for eating a hot soup dish in a hot summer day. Please be honest with your response.
Using a clean unused stainless chopstick as a hairpin is not a disgusting thing in any condition. Your overreaction with unprofessional customer service attitude, language and body language was unacceptable. By the way, it’s a stainless chopstick and it makes louder sounds than wooden ones on table. I did NOT slam it.
因为用筷子扎头发而被饭馆老板歧视甚至被禁止再次光顾. 一次非常不快和难以接受的经历。😭🤯
I experienced discrimination and was even banned from a restaurant simply because I temporarily used a chopstick to put my hair up during a meal. The owner’s reaction was extremely upsetting and unacceptable.
What was wrong with the owner’s behavior?
Overreaction and Impoliteness Using a restaurant chopstick to tie up hair may not be the most conventional or hygienic practice, but it is generally understood as an impromptu and harmless act. Instead of responding with understanding or a polite reminder, the owner chose to react harshly and unprofessionally.
Discriminatory Treatment Discrimination occurs when someone is unfairly judged or treated differently based on irrelevant personal behavior or characteristics. In this case, the owner unfairly judged my character based on a minor, temporary action, and then went as far as banning me from returning. This constitutes discriminatory and unfair treatment.
Lack of Empathy and Inclusivity It is very common, especially for women, to find themselves without a hair tie and to improvise with an available object — such as a pen or chopstick — to keep their hair up while eating. The owner showed no empathy or understanding for this very ordinary situation, choosing instead to shame and exclude me.
Violation of Consumer Rights and Dignity As a consumer, I have the right to be treated with respect and fairness. While restaurant owners may set reasonable rules (such as “No shirt, no shoes, no service”), these rules must be applied fairly, respectfully, and without discrimination. In this case, my dignity was directly insulted, and my rights as a consumer were violated.
The fault does not lie with me, but with the owner, who responded without courtesy and with excessive severity. A situation that could have been handled easily and kindly was instead turned into a deeply hurtful and...

Sorry we ate some people taking pictures. There were more dumplings than that!
Brightly lit with somewhat uncomfortable slightly too small wooden table&chairs.
The food was good. Their yangnyeom gejang(spicy raw crab) mouthwatering, couldn't be better. My partner ordered mul naengmeon as it's safe for him to eat(he has allergies) - when it arrived with stuff that's not usually on it, we asked if we could order a new one and the server(?) said, 'Oh. Yes, a new one- that's usually not on that dish.'
Read moreI don't get they hype with this place. We are visiting from out of state and I was excited to try this place for the included crab banchan but we didn't end up getting it in our assortment. Maybe it's something they run out of? It was a bit of a let down but no big deal. What WAS a big deal and prompted me to write this review was the service. It was terrible and I have no idea why! We came in at 8:25pm on a Sunday, knowing they close at 9pm. We are not the type to walk in 10 min before a restaurant closes and thought 8:25pm was reasonable for just 2 people. I said hello and the server rolled her eyes from across the restaurant. She called out "how many"? We said 2. She showed us where to sit, and brought menus and water- wordlessly. I thanked her. She came and asked our order and repeated our 1 word order. And that was all she said to us the whole time. I thanked her every time she put something on the table. Nothing as much as even eye contact as acknowledgement from her. She was going around and asking other tables how things were and if they needed anything (in English) so she was only being this way towards us. It was extremely rude! We cleared a large space in front of us for the food, with our waters and banchan on the other side of the table. Instead of putting the sizzling Galbi in front of us (which she was pushing on a cart), she moved our water to make room on the opposite side of the table so we would have to pick up the sizzling plate and put it in front of us. It was clearly intentional. She wordlessly brought the card reader when we finished eating, we paid and said thank you, and left. Nothing like how was everything or thank you from her. Didn't check on us a single time. Literally the worst service I've had in years. When we left there was still a table dining so we didn't keep them from closing. I never write reviews and I won't blatantly call out what I think was going on here but we tipped according to our service. The food was good but honestly, JCD down the street was much better in...
