I went to Bubble N Tea for the first time on Feb. 2 and had the Hibiscus Lemon Tea with a zero sweetness level and regular boba. Let me tell you how awesome it was that when I wanted no sugar, there was legitimately no extra sugar in my tea (besides the boba)! I have been to so many other bubble tea places that, even when you get the zero sweetness level, you can tell there's still plenty of sugar in your tea from whatever they're using. It was so refreshing to get something that was just what I wanted on the sweetness level. Ordering at their self-serve kiosk was also really convenient. Being a new customer, I could spend time looking at their menu without feeling awkward. Their prices are also great compared to other places. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their drinks! Edit (10/21/23): I went to Bubble N Tea again today because I was feeling sad and love this place for boba. I got one of my favorites, Matcha Strawberry Milk Tea with boba, coconut milk, and zero sweetness level, and my partner tried their new Coconut Cream Thai Milk Tea with coconut milk. The Matcha Strawberry was delicious as usual, and the Coconut Cream Thai was buttery and rich! It was delicious but slightly too sweet and rich for my taste. My partner says, "It was great.". They are a bit pricey with milk alternatives, but we will definitely be back since this is one of our...

There were some definite pros and cons.

I didn't enjoy walking in and having to order from a touch screen. If I wanted to order through a screen, I'd place a mobile order somewhere. I did ask a question and the woman working there was nice and friendly about it, so I suspect had they not chosen to have screens doing their customer service the experience would have been even better .

There was no option not to get ice. My asthma is triggered by cold, so I have a hard time drinking things that are too cold and it's really frustrating not to have accommodation for that when it's so easy to just omit ice.

I loved that they had an option for level of sweetness! I just wish that it went both directions. The highest level was 100% You could not want it more sweet and for me, it's a sweet refreshing treat, so I would have liked it a little extra sweet

It was decent tasting, a little less flavorful than I would like, but the flavor that was there was good.

The best part about it was definitely the boba. They had it just the right amount of chew.

I don't understand why they use a short, fat cup. It is so much more awkward to hold and doesn't fit in a cup holder. Really not user friendly.

All in all, it was an okay experience and I'm not opposed to going back at all, but I'll definitely keep trying other places to look for the...

This bubble tea place is pretty damn good. Likely the best place in Portland good. My barometer for bubble tea is getting classic milk tea with tapioca bubbles (boba). This place knocked it out of the park. They post that they don't use any powders/instant mixes and it tastes like it. They give you more options on how your components go into your drink like kinds of milk and how sweet you would like it. My OG iced milk tea with tapioca bubbles was fantastic. I ordered it 50% sweet after asking about the default sweetness because I didn't want to act like a giddy teenager hopped up on sugar after drinking it. It was so good that I finished it in less than 10 minutes. The tea was perfectly balanced and the boba had a welcomed sweetness that reminded me of honey and the perfect sticky, cooked perfectly (no dry/frozen center!), chewy texture that you want in the boba. It gave me the chill kick of an energy boost in the afternoon that I pleasantly enjoyed. It was $5 and I think it's well worth it. Will be back for...

Each time we visited my parents, annually, in Bethany area OR, we would come to this place daily for the duration of our trip, usually 1-2 weeks! They fresh brewed the tea for each drink. The drinks were so delicious and aromatic, one can really taste the tea and smell the floral. My go-to was the Jasmine. Kids and wife usually got the Classic and were more adventurous with the other teas. All were very aromatic, fresh, well-made, and pure joy to drink. This place was among our top 3 boba tea places. Then, couple of years ago, prior to the pandemic (or 2020?), there was a change. I didn't pay attention but got into the car and bam! What happened?! Was my reaction. The aromas and floral were barely noticeable and the drinks sweeter than before (we usually order 30%). I came back the next day and eagled-eye the preparations. The teas were all pre-made and placed inside containers! We were here again beginning of July '22 but only visited twice. Hopefully, they'll bring back the old ways.
