At the intersection of Beaverton, Oregon's evolving cafe culture and Vietnamese coffee tradition stands Phin Caphe and Boba, a bright newcomer to the city's growing coffee scene. Sunlight streams through expansive windows, dancing across polished surfaces and highlighting the cafe's thoughtfully curated minimalist design. The space masterfully balances modern aesthetics with functional comfort, creating an environment equally suited for focused study sessions or casual meetups. Among their carefully curated drink selection, the Vietnamese egg coffee (cà phê trứng) stands as a testament to their commitment to authentic flavor and presentation. Each cup is a carefully orchestrated symphony of textures – the bottom layer holds a bold, precisely brewed Vietnamese coffee using traditional robusta beans, while the top showcases a golden crown of expertly whipped egg cream that's both rich and ethereally light. A fascinating detail about this remarkable drink: in its birthplace of Hanoi, the preparation was traditionally kept warm by placing the cup in a bowl of hot water, allowing the coffee to maintain its ideal temperature while patrons slowly savored the unique combination. Today, Phin Caphe offers both hot and iced versions, each maintaining the integrity of this beloved recipe while adapting to modern preferences. While their food menu currently remains concise – a common starting point for new establishments – their beverage selection impressively spans the spectrum from carefully crafted coffee drinks to refreshing smoothies and artisanal teas. Each drink category shows the same attention to detail evident in their signature egg coffee, suggesting exciting potential as their menu evolves. The staff's warm presence elevates the experience, offering knowledgeable guidance through their drink selection with genuine enthusiasm. Their approach to service mirrors the space's welcoming atmosphere, making even first-time visitors feel like regulars. For those seeking a tranquil spot in Beaverton to work, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a masterfully prepared beverage, Phin Caphe and Boba delivers. While their culinary offerings may still be expanding, their commitment to quality and atmosphere is already fully realized. As they continue to develop their menu, this cafe stands as a promising addition to Oregon's diverse coffee landscape, particularly for those eager to explore Vietnamese coffee culture in a contemporary...
Read moreI don't write reviews often... I've been to over 100 boba shops. Mind you, I was in a good mood until the end I was still polite but just disappointed.. Here's how to convo went: Me: I think I'll get the oolong milk tea please Phin: Would you like toppings? Me: yes can I get half boba and half lychee? P: No, we have to do full of each Me: oh no problem, then I'll just do boba Phin: Would you like to adjust the sweetness Me: Yes, that would be awesome P: Is 50% okay? Me: can we do less? 25%? P: No, I'm sorry Me: okay, can we do soy milk? (I'm lactose) P: No, we only use sweetened condensed milk in our teas Me: Okay... Is there a way we can do no sugar in the tea since the condensed milk is sweet already? P: (Looks at me confused) Me: I just don't like overly sweet drinks P: No Me: Okay, well I guess no choice then (lol) P: That'll be $7 please Me: (pays and walks out to take a breath of air)
LAWD I've never had less options for milk tea in my life haha needless to say, the oolong milk tea tasted like, get ready, milk and was too sweet for me since the boba itself is sweetened and the sweetened condensed milk and tea couldn't be adjusted.. I own 3 restaurants, and if we offer adjustments/substitutions, especially physically on the menu, it should be fulfilled. Even if it's "we usually don't because __ but we can for you today" to make a customer happy. If certain items can't be adjusted, it should be stated or just omitted from the menu. Yikes.. I just hope they can make changes to the menu if the substitutions aren't possible for...

We've been here a few times already and love this spot in Beaverton. Flavors are on point, not too sweet but unique to other boba spots. Grand opening day was busy but highly efficient with processing orders. Their slower hours during the week was not as efficient and made mistakes with our order.
Drinks/treats we love: ube coffee, taro coconut smoothie with coconut milk, pistachio coffee, strawberry mojito, classic milk tea, and their matcha and ube cream puffs. Ube coffee, taro coconut smoothie, and ube cream puff are for Ube lovers!
Interior is bright and clean. I noticed their chairs and how nice and modern-minimalist style they are, which is nice for a boba shop. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
We came in on one of their less busy hours around 1 on a weekday and their team was pretty slow and made a mistake on our order. The woman taking our order was busy talking to another customer and put in our order for ube coffee instead of taro coconut smoothie. $6.50 + tip mistake and extra waiting time.
Located in a great area with lots of other...
