Taquitos were good (nice crispiness and flavor) but everything else disappointing - peach agua fresca - too sweet, only slight peach flavor - skip it - salsas - verde was pretty bland. Habanero had heat but not much flavor - sadness - beef on taquitos - good flavor. Menu said birria-like but it didn’t have spice like birria. More of a basic stewed meat. Tender. But for $5 adding to my taquito, what I got was mostly a chunk of fat (see photos) - pork tacos - tender and flavorful. Good but not necessarily something you come back for - chorizo taco - too salty and one dimensional. You get much better chorizo at most taco carts - arroz con leche brûlée - the rice pudding was sadly bland and not very creamy. Good rice texture though. The ratio of brûlée to pudding was way too high so it is overly sweet (or you’re left with a lot of torched sugar) - service - slow. They have lots of servers but it seems like they stand around and chat a lot. They forgot the dessert I ordered and I had to ask for that. My daughter and I both ran out of water and they didn’t offer a refill and we had to ask for it. There’s one specific waitress (maybe she’s new) who just stands around and doesn’t do much, even when there are tables needing bussing.

Hands Down the Best Tacos and Taquitos!!! If you're looking for the ultimate taco and taquito experience in Oregon, look no further! This place serves up hand-pressed tortillas that take every taco to the next level. The potato-stuffed taquitos are absolutely bursting with flavor – crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. Everything on the menu is DELICIOUS. My personal favorite? The shrimp topping. It’s cooked and seasoned to perfection, adding the perfect touch to an already amazing meal. And don't even get me started on the freshly made salsa... it’s got a kick that'll make you come back for more. After enjoying the incredible tacos and taquitos, make sure to leave room for dessert – it is a true highlight! You won’t regret it. The tres leches cake here is an absolute game-changer. It’s no surprise they're always busy – the food is that good. If you're still eating frozen taquitos, I feel bad for you, son. I've got 99 problems, but eating good food isn't one. ***Pro Tip #1: Pairs perfect with an ice cold beer.. ***Pro tip #2: They take phone orders if you want to call ahead and skip the crowd. (Convenient when I have short lunch breaks)

Tito's Taquitos is easily the best Mexican food I have found in Portland or Oregon! I grew up in Southern California and went to college in East LA and this rivals or surpasses what I grew up with ... Truly incredible! Chef Anthony (yes a trained Chef!) brings the freshest ingredients together in a perfect symphony of taste. The flavor comes in waves. If there is a National Salsa Competition then their salsa should enter and would certainly ribbon and possibly win. (if there isn't a National Salsa Competition can we please get that started?!? 😂) Yes it is worth the wait. Yes they sell out everyday ... So call ahead to place your order and ensure they are open. If it goes to voicemail just call back in a few minutes. There is NO doubt that Chef Anthony will be opening a sit-down restaurant in the next year or two! So come eat here now so you can brag to your friends in a year or two about finding Tito's Taquitos when it was a food cart in a gas station parking lot ... They will think you are even cooler than you already are. 😎

This restaurant has potential, particularly in its house made tortillas, which offer an authentic flavor profile. However, they are excessively thick, so much so that they overpower the filling and leave you full before you can appreciate the meat. The chorizo taco, requested crispy, was denied on the basis that the meat was pre-cooked and held in a warmer. Oddly, they were actively heating other proteins on a nearby pan, which raises questions about consistency and effort.

Service was, unfortunately, subpar from start to finish. Despite two available tables, one clean, one not, we were made to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Hygiene practices were also questionable: I witnessed the bartender/waitress preparing a drink involving raw egg white using her bare hands, with no gloves in sight. The egg being in her hands not the shell.

Our tacos arrived somewhat warm, and our table didn’t get clean after we were done eating. Dessert had to be requested, not offered, and when it finally arrived, there was no room on the table to place it, still littered with plates. I had to ask the server to clear the table, she had no intention to do it. To top it off, no one came by to present the check; I had to get up and pay at the counter.

While the concept hints at something promising, the execution, both culinary and operational, falls short. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this establishment based on...
