Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Bee Cave

This was our second visit since corporate took over from the franchise and both visits were terrible! The girl behind the register couldn’t get our order straight due to constantly looking at her phone. We had to repeat our order to her THREE times. Then, when I went to fill out drinks, they were out of sweet tea. I told that same girl and she removed the container. I waited - no tea - so I flagged down another employee (who obviously didn’t speak English) she went to girl behind register who came to our table and said “what?”! I asked if they were making more sweet tea. She said “no” and walked away. I ended up getting a soda that was more carbonation than syrup. Yuck! I love Schlotzskys! And love that they opened one closer to where I live and work. Occasionally the sandwich I usually order has a funky taste but maybe it's because of how the meat is cooked. Could be I'm just tasting a smoke flavor I'm not expecting.

Recently I was given a piece of the bread as a strip cut like a garlic bread slice and ended up buying a whole sandwich bread requested as garlic bread. I'm telling you, you NEED to get a menu item of the option of garlic toast, half or whole pieces. That stuff is SO yummy!!!

Update: This location has showed consistency over time with fresh hot food. It's obvious they are well managed.

I stopped by for lunch about a week after they first opened and was surprised by the poor quality and taste of the ham & cheese original sandwich.
