Worst place to eat in town wouldn't waste my time here all the food was sitting out for who knows how long nothing was being put out fresh the rolls were burnt the sweet potatoes were burnt to the pan cottage cheese had stuff floating in it there was hardly any lettuce at the salad bar and the left over bits that were left behind were starting to brown the fried chicken was so dried out you could even bite into it the steak was super dry an that was asking for a medium after she pulled the cooked steak out of a fridge from the back and warmed it on the grill. When asking for fresh food the lady looked at me with a disgusted look on her face like I was being picky. I than made a complaint with the manager Gracie she couldn't have been more rude stating that I was lying and everything was being put out fresh and they were Making more fried chicken right now I told her I didn't want to eat here and I wanted a refund and she said no I can only do 2 people when there was group of 4 of us and she did refund for two but why wouldn't we all get our refund for something we clearly didn't want or even touch? She completely ignored what I was saying and walked away in her office and shut her door. when asking the cashier up front to get her he said she is busy and would be right out I asked for her name and he wouldn't tell me he said that he can't give that information out but his name was Ceasar after waiting another 15 mins for her to come out of her office the waiter came and said he would give us our money back out of his own pocket to make things right. It was a very kind gesture but shouldn't be his responsibility I explain to him that it wasn't his job to make things right. What terrible management they seem to have considering the Manger sat in the office and wouldn't come out. After waiting an hour for her to come of her office they still hadn't replaced that fried chicken that was sitting there when I got there I'm pretty sure there are hold times on food and it had been sitting atleast an hour and who knows how long before I had got there. That fresh fried chicken she stated that was being made still never seemed to have come out because it had been an hour at this point. Sweet potatoes still nothing the salad had been refilled I was impressed. My wife finally went out side to call this Manger that was refusing to refund us all of our money and come out of her office and even speak to us at all. The cashier who answered the phone clearly knew it was my wife trying to say he could help her as she told him no you can not help me I need to speak to your manager she finally got on the phone. She told her nicely to hear her out and not hang up on her. She tried lying multiple times to my wife about why she didn't refund us but refunded my mother. When we were sitting right there and know what my mother said. My wife made it clear to her that she didn't even give us a chance to complain like she did our mother she walked away and hid in her office. After my wife made her point very clear that we would not leave tell we had our money back and she would never have to see us again the lady admitted to being frustrated and she was sorry her job as a manager is hard. She told my wife to come back in and she would have the cashier refund her. After a hour of hiding and 20 minutes of arguing on the phone getting her to admitt she was in the wrong. This woman should not have a position as a manager! You do not refund half a table and not the other half you do not ignore customers and go hide and refuse to speak to them! Very poor management and an overall experience š me and my family will...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePSA this is rather lengthy but itās not about the rolls, itās about the service. Me and my family came to this GC after church today (5/15/21) We walk through the door and the young lady making our drinks, was quiet and kind of down (Iām assuming by her expression) when taking our order. We move forward to the cashier, the young man rang up our order (67.00) we asked if he had a military discount he said no, but before we could say thank you he was no longer looking at us, but he was talking to another staff member and nodding his head. We find our seats and the waitress , Mary Ann was the sweetest most helpful woman. We go get our food I stop by the station for steak the cook was all kinds of rude. When I asked for medium well he cut the steak he was cooking and gave it to me saying it was medium well, but it was well done. They were out of rolls so I waited for the cook to help a guest and while I waited he rudely bumped into the cook next to him, almost making him drop an entire tray of chicken. I said excuse me and the cook finally looked up and I told him that he almost knocked the chicken out his partnerās hand. He gave me the rudest look after I said he should have acknowledged what heād done so they donāt get burned. Iām still waiting for rolls so I ask a waiter coming out the kitchen, he said tell the cook at the steak station I said heās rude and Iād rather talk to someone else, he looked and nodded his head like he already knew. He goes to the bakery where there are 3 pans of cooked rolls. I waited and a women comes out of the kitchen and goes to the bakery then I see the cook go talk to the lady at the bakery. I go stand by the area they are āsupposedā to have the rolls to wait, and their are others in line for steak, by this time my husband is in line and he asked if he gets the ribs by the grill himself or will someone serve him. The cook said get it yourself because Iām busy, knudging toward the other guest in line. A lady comes by with a tray of rolls and pushes through the customers and changes the tray, never saying excuse me to the guest and pushed through again when leaving. One guest looked at me and said wow that was rude. I of course agreed. So I get my rolls and go to the bakery to ask where the butter was. There is no line, the lady in this area looks at me and walks the freezer to put a cake in. So I am patient acknowledging ok they are pretty busy. So once sheās done she proceeds to walk past me and I raised my hand and said maāam, and she looked at me, and without moving closer, said what?! I said whereās the butter so she comes closer and said what was that, so I repeat myself. She walks away and speaks to someone, who comes to help me. I asked if she was the manager and she said she was the supervisor. I told her about the workers and said I understand they are busy but in this field they need better customer service rather than being rude. Sadly she already knew the 2 I was talking about. I thanked her for her time and she told me where the butter was. I go to my family and eat my ācoldā food. This was the worst service weāve ever had at a Golden Corral and hopefully they improve. The food was good, and the restaurant was clean and our waitress made sure we had any and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in there on Sunday with my family for my grandparents' anniversary dinner. The place looks like it hasn't been updated in years. I can look past that, but the food looks and tastes the same way. The food looks covered in this butter or oil-like substance, and it all looked mushy. Even the fried shrimp looked like mush. My wife and I paid $44.04 for both of us. We both grabbed one plate. She took two bites of hers and then got sick. I didn't really understand why until I took a bite of my mushy Bourbon Street chicken. I then took a bite of my steak that tasted frostbitten and like it was left uncovered in the freezer to marinate in the scents of the freezer.
I brought it to management's attention that my wife and I would not be eating any more of the buffet, and I would like a refund on the buffet, but I'll pay for the drinks and sit with my family. I was informed that the food was good. I told him that it wasn't, and if it was, my wife wouldn't be getting sick in their bathroom. I was asked if I was going to leave. I said if you would like me to leave your establishment, I will. I was then snapped at to leave. They all stared me down while I waited for my wife to finish getting sick.
I never raised my voice except to a speaking volume over the loud environment and felt I conducted myself professionally, but the management was clearly trying to intimidate me and acted aggressive towards me in what should have been a normal professional conversation. Bottom line, this place is on its last leg. The franchise owner clearly gave up on the place. This location either needs to shut down or heavy corporate-mandated training. I was also informed after we left my niece became ill while in the restaurant. If this were my kitchen, as a cook/manager of a restaurant for 5 years, I would be embarrassed, and I would have gone on a...
