Worst manager I've ever experienced interacting with in the restaurant business!! I'm a professional restaurateur. I own multiple international restaurants and resorts. I would never allow management of such quality near one of my restaurants or resorts. The female manager that I am speaking of, which I will leave names out of this. Is by far the most disrespectful and judgemental human I have had the displeasure of meeting in my own country as a veteran. I would recommend anybody in Bend to pick a better location with the consideration of such judgemental and Prejudice treatment on behalf of this highly unprofessional manager. During my experience of interaction with this individual I felt incredibly disrespected as a veteran! I was predisposed to judgments on behalf of her personal views and was profiled and wrongfully treated on her behalf. I will make sure that everyone I meet and/or know personally coming the bend area for a proper dining experience knows about the level of disrespect received on behalf of the restaurants blond female manager. Management should be able to separate themselves professionally from their personal views in life and the views and considerations of her employers and /or owners. Most importantly, not abused the power given to her as a manager on behalf of her employer's / owners. If there's one thing that I can say to sum this up, it would be "prejudism and abuse of power". This was an incredibly large mistake on behalf of the Pine Tavern manager. Considering my professional background in the international restaurateur review industry. Which I will be very certain this following week, during my upcoming meetings with two major International restaurateur magazines. To make an apparent mention about my experience here in Bend & I'll be very sure to make certain this information makes it to the right individuals on my personal behalf. I wish Pine Tavern the best of luck in finding better Management in the future & correcting this issue. Considering the history behind the restaurant and the quality of the food as well as the rest of the employment staff whom from my experiences seem to be genuine individuals. No restaurant should suffer due to one poor minded prejudice individual with an apparent affinity for abusing their professional power. Especially management staff!... professionally pathetic and sad...

We recently found this place and have come a dozen times in the past two months to enjoy the happy hour and the good wait staff. Madison is very attentive and great with recommendations.

Sadly, last week while St Family was visiting we chose to bring them here for a family dinner and we waited 27 minutes to be asked for our drink selection, then our appetizers were brought out wrong then our meals were too salty to even eat. Staff bought us one dessert because of all the "mishaps" they claimed. Then tonight we wanted to give them another shot, so we called ahead to make sure of their hours and were told EXTREMELY clearly the bar is OPEN UNTIL 10pm, told this by a female named Alexis or Alexa I couldn't make it out. We arrived at 8:47pm and WERE TURNED AWAY by a host named Heidi who handled the situation very poorly, only proclaiming " Im sorry the boss says we are fully closed, have a good night." This is a major problem for a business where as patrons we did out part to make sure of heir business hours and made evening plans based on their business information given first hand over the phone. They did NOT do their part. Not to mention a second phone call was made to verify menu option and we were again told " Yes, the bar is open until 10pm." Mind you we arrived at not even 9 pm and were TURNED AWAY!

We will make the best of our evening of course, but are sorely disappointed with your business giving false information and without even stating that hours are subject to change... maybe teach your wait staff and host that sentence. I have raved all month about this place to friends and local family who have come to give patronage... I regret recommending this place when we have spent a generous amount here in a few months only to be given false information and refused service 1 hour and 10 minutes before were told on two occasions in the same evening of there being open until 10pm. Special note* we ALWAYS tip 25-30% and no less.

Extreme poor business, very poor handling by the host. And hopefully if you read this and give this place you're business ($) you will not encounter the same abrasity.

We will give the tavern another try surely... as to not let 1 experience diminish all others, but not without caution and sour...

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Pine Tavern, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. While the service was passable and the staff did their best to be accommodating, the food itself was an utter disaster. It was painfully obvious that the dishes served came straight from a frozen truck. There was no freshness, no flavor, and certainly no culinary skill evident in any of the meals.

To start, I ordered a chicken sandwich, which turned out to be an absolute travesty. The chicken was dry, flavorless, and had the distinct texture of something that had been frozen for far too long. The bun was stale, and the accompanying lettuce and tomato were limp and unappetizing. It was as if the entire sandwich had been assembled without any care or consideration for taste.

My wife ordered the cod, and her experience was equally abysmal. The cod was bland and rubbery, with an off-putting fishy smell that suggested it was far from fresh. The batter was soggy and greasy, making the whole dish nearly inedible. The side of fries that came with it was no better, tasting as if they had been reheated multiple times.

What made this experience even more infuriating was the price. For food that tasted this terrible, one would expect it to be cheap, but it was shockingly expensive. Paying a premium for what amounted to frozen, poorly prepared food is simply unacceptable.

The only redeeming quality of Pine Tavern is its ambiance. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere, which makes the poor quality of the food even more disappointing. It's a shame that such a nice setting is wasted on such subpar cuisine.

In conclusion, Pine Tavern is not worth your time or money. The service may be okay, and the restaurant might look inviting, but the food is nothing short of worthless. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place if you're looking for a...

A true heritage tradition in Bend, the Pines with it's two pine trees rising though the floor and ceiling, offers great food, superb service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Our reservation was for 5:30 and the restaurant was already busy. We were quickly seated in the back overlooking the water. Our waiter was a high energy person and was very attentive without making us feel hurried. The steak fries and garlic fries appitizers were both great, although the steak fries would be my choice next time. I had the pulled pork without the bun (gluten intolerance) and was offered seasonal vegetables ( superb green beans ) all of which were very tasty. My wife had the chicken Marsala which after I had a taste was a much better choice. Our companions had the blackened rockcod and rib eye steak which they enjoyed. The Pines has an excellent wine and beer list. Wine is offered by the bottle or glass. All in all an excellent dinning experience. If you have not been be sure to try it.
