Sidelines Sportsbar & Grill — Restaurant in Bend

I won't be back. The manager was weirdly hostile and argumentative and totally unprofessional. My buddy and I showed up around 5:45. The place was busy with the Thursday night football crowd. Our server handed us the happy hour menu (their happy hour is 3-6) and my buddy and I ordered some food and drinks off it. When we got the bill the drinks were priced at the happy hour rate but the food did not have the happy hour discount. We told our server about the discrepancy and she said she'd ask the manager to fix it.

The manager came in hot over to our table like he was looking for a fight before we even said a word to him. He refused to fix the bill and said "probably you ordered at 5:50 but she didn't put it in til after 6, so come earlier next time." Then unprompted he told us he'd call the cops if we didn't pay what was on the bill. The server was kind and apologetic (manager probably is a jerk to his staff too). It's not even about the money at this point but I won't be going back to anywhere that treats...

This is the second time trying this place on different visits to Bend. The first time we got Buffalo wings to go and we were blown away. They were the crispiest crunchiest wings ever and so yummy!! We couldn’t wait to try them again on our most recent trip, but this time we ate in. It’s definitely the typical Sports bar environment but kinda small. It took the server a bit to get to us, but once she did, the service was great. We just wanted late night appetizers, so we opted for Nachos and Buffalo wings. Both were amazing!! The wings were just as good as the first time but did seem smaller than the first time. The Nachos were so good. We went home with leftovers of both. If you like your wings super crunchy, you have to try theirs. If you like them saucy too, just ask for a side of the sauce. They’re a bit spendy for wings but worth it...

This experience was without a doubt the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant (4/29). The waitress (name unknown but long, dark hair) was nowhere to be found most of our visit. She brought drinks and ran off without even offering menus so once we finally caught her had to ask. We intended to order more but she never came back to check on us after delivering appetizers so our party of 5 went elsewhere for entrees. She clearly could not be bothered to wait on us and we did not feel like giving more grace than we already had. We would’ve liked to assume that she was busy but we caught her multiple times just hanging over the bar visiting. I used to be a waitress so I am so big on tipping but this was beyond excuse and deserving of a poor tip (if any). The food was good, would’ve loved to have been welcomed...
