The moment I stepped into Bend Brewing Company, I knew I was in the right place. The cozy atmosphere and the attention to detail evident in the decor immediately drew me in. One of the first things I noticed was the absence of salt and pepper on the table. It was a clear indication that the kitchen took pride in their seasoning. I started my meal with a refreshing huckleberry ginger cider from the Bend Cider Company. It was a delightful combination of sweet and tart, with a hint of spice. For my main course, I opted for a half portion of fish and chips. The batter was light and crispy, with a subtle beer flavor that complemented the flaky fish perfectly. I was particularly impressed by the homemade tartar sauce, which featured a delightful tang of tarragon. As I watched other dishes being served, I couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. Everything looked incredibly appetizing. While the coleslaw was simple, it was still enjoyable. I could taste the subtle flavors of milk, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and a touch of salt in the creamy dressing. It was a refreshing accompaniment to the hearty fish and chips. Overall, my experience at Bend Brewing Company was fantastic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was friendly. It's a place I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great view in their yard area! But, service is so bad. We stood in front of the outside stand waiting for our first drink to try at a new place! We waited for the employees to finish their conversation, but they didn't. We felt SO embarrassed that we were not even acknowledged. We were blatantly ignored despite being RIGHT in front of the employees waiting to order from this small stand. We went inside instead for a drink. We found a table outside and was asked to leave because it was for food and drink. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave" was a further embarrassment, despite NO communication and NO signage to tell us where we can be. Eventually we got to sit at a bench in the yard and we enjoyed that! We would have loved to sit there the rest of the night, but we couldn't spend another dime here or another minute attempting to be acknowledged. This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Service sucks of course, but my god, at least a friendly "hello, I'll be with you" goes a long way.

This place is a good example of what a location does to the quality of service. Just because you're by the river, doesn't mean you're top of the line. The lack of communication amongst servers was pitiful. We arrived on a busy day, so we expected a wait. But they told we could try the food trucks if we wanted food immediately. They were insistent that there was no seating. But we could all see three open picnic tables on the grass... so? We went to the food truck, and it was alright. Especially for the price. We seated ourselves since the front staff didn't feel inclined to do so. I will say though, the beer was tasty. Finally, the "vibe" of the place was disappointing. People were staring a lot, the servers were not friendly. My friends and I were confused because we were just like everyone else. Coming to eat and to grab a drink. The three star is because Im giving the staff the benefit of the doubt that maybe the busyness was dwindling their patience.

Come happy, leave salty! But seriously, they must have worked their tails off to reach the highest concentration of salt in one place on the Earth, so I have to give them credit for that. Really, check my picture. I swear these spuds must have been brined in saltwater because even if you scrape the thick layer of salt off, the flavor persists. I may seem hung up on this, but it was by far the standout of my experience. To be fair the rest of the experience was solid. The other food, service, and drinks were all decent to good. The environment is great, especially if the weather is too. Plenty of shade and cool breeze off the water. Great place to beat the heat in the summer. And again, to give credit where it's due, the fried cheese curds were exceptional. Crispy and satisfying outside, warm and gooey inside. Most surpringly, they were barely salty. If I were to come again, I'd get a beer and some cheese curds, skip the rest. Cheers!

We chose the self-service option with food truck because the restaurant option wait was 45-60 minutes. The food truck was the biggest rip-off that I have ever experienced—I was informed that the impossible burger option wasn’t available, therefore I was left with the only vegetarian option: The summer salad. For $16 I expected more than a few leaves of spinach, a cut strawberry, a spoonful of quinoa, and several slices of cucumber (most likely to substitute the missing piece of avacado). A picture is worth a thousand words—have a look. You should be ashamed! My partner had the smashburger, at $16 still a bit overpriced for a small patty and 10 fries. The space is lovely, so if you go, only have a beer and AVOID THE FOODTRUCK!!!!!!
